Sometimes the problem isn't that you don't know what to do.

You know too many things you could do.

Too many options can make a commitment feel like a loss. But you can not live every possible version of your life.

At some point, you have to choose a direction and stay with it long enough to discover what it can produce.

There will always be another option.

Maybe you don't need another possibility. Maybe you need the courage to commit to the one you've already chosen.

Have you ever noticed that you started changing, and suddenly some friendships didn't feel the same anymore?

There was no fight and nobody betrayed anybody.

You just started thinking differently.

Your priorities changed, your ambitions changed, you started taking your faith, finances, career, health and future more seriously and sometimes, that creates distance.

But here's what we often fail to realise:

Not every relationship you outgrow is filled with bad people and sometimes people simply grow in different directions.

At the same time, we have to be careful with the word "outgrow." Because sometimes what we call growth is actually pride.

You can become more ambitious and still remain humble.

You can become more disciplined without becoming judgmental.

You can become more spiritually serious without becoming less gracious.

You don't have to make everyone understand who you are becoming and you don't necessarily need to replace everyone because your priorities have changed.

Some people will travel far and long with you, some will remain in your life but occupy a different place and other relationships will naturally fade.

And that's okay.

The real question may not be:

"Have I outgrown them?"

It may be:

"Am I actually growing, or am I simply becoming someone who thinks I am better than them?"

Swipe through the carousel and tell me what you think.

Can you grow without becoming contemptuous of people who are growing differently?

What happens when the person you told to spread his wings actually spreads them?

Before you envy someone's life, ask yourself one more question:

"If I had to pay the full price for what I admire, would I still want it?"
