Ondo State Emergency Medical Service ODEMSA is a service agency to provide universal, prompt and unhindered care to victims of road traffic and other traumatic injuries in Ondo State.

As an emergency service agency our core task is to provide universal, prompt and unhindered care to victims of road traffic and other traumatic injuries in Ondo state and also collaboratively develop and implement strategies to reduce the burden of road traffic injuries. Strategy and Intervention
The highway emergency medical service is an integral part of the Ondo State Trauma Syste

m – a three-level initiative based on established public health prevention principles and best-practices in trauma care, namely:

Traumatic injury prevention via injury surveillance, collaborative advocacy and community awareness (primary prevention)

Early detection and treatment of injuries via medically-directed, pre-hospital highway rescue (secondary prevention)

Reduction of motor crash-related disability and the promotion of rehabilitation via trauma centres and hospital system (tertiary prevention)
