AKURE YOUTHS DECLARE TOTAL SUPPORTS FOR BADA
In the build up to the November 26 governorship elections in Ondo State, a vibrant and virile youth organisation in Akure, the Ijapo Youth Association, has declared support for Dr. Oluwadare Bada, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party NNPP.

Speaking during a courtesy call to Dr. Bada, the president of the organisation said they came to declare their support because they have seen the outstanding leadership qualities that the NNPP candidate had displayed over the years in leadership roles.

He further reiterated that in our country today where transparent leaders are very scarce, Bada remains a force in to reckon with.

He also confirmed that he is sure the New Nigeria Peoples Party ( NNPP ) will win the election in Ondo State because Dr Bada is a sellable candidate especially now that all minds are on Akure Agenda.

In his response, Bada thanked the youths for daring to show thier support despite the intimidation and oppression meted on the opposition by the government of the day in Ondo State.

He assured them of youths relevance in his government on assumption of duties as governor, stressing that his government would beady be to run an all inclusive team, bringing everyone on board.

Bada further assured them of his winning chances with thier supports, noting that Ondo state is sick and tired of a ‘Maradona’ government being run by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

Dr. Bada got the NNPP ticket after being disenfranchised by Dr. Mimiko from the PDP, while the governor picked former Commissioner for Justice who is believed to be his stooge

Before you continue to deceive the gullible, let me tell the whole World what is on ground. There is no appeal against the judgement that removed Jegede. The pending application that is making the court to sit now is Application for extension of time to file appeal out of time against the June judgement of Abang that recognised Biyi Poroye as the authentic Chairman of PDP in Ondo State. The current application was filed by Makarfi and Senator Ben Obi. Assuming without conceding that the application is granted, a new vista of litigation will then be opened.
If the application is granted, Appellants will now transmit record of Appeal. He has 60 days to do this. Appellants also have 45 days to file their Brief of Argument. After that, the Respondent also have 45 days to file his Reply brief follow by Appellants Reply brief before the Appeal can be ripe for hearing. Assuming that the Appellants apply for abridgement of time, the Respondent will NEVER agree that his own time should be abridged. Head or tail, the shortest time that this Appeal can take would be 90 days and by which time election would have been over. It needs being pointed out that the issue before the Court of Appeal is not about Jegede and all applications relating to Ondo election and Jegede had been withdrawn on the ground of locus standi because no appeal is pending yet. Wake up from your dream my Learned Senior as Jegede is gone forever in Ondo State. I will advise you to join us, but if you sincerely believed in Akure Agenda as against selfish agenda that we know that you people are pursuing, join Dr. Oluwadare Bada. Akure agenda should not be about Jegede if the aim is not to cover Mimiko's track. E yin nikan ko la daye fun o, e je ki Mekunu o gbaye. Igba lani, enikan o ni ile aye. Peace.

THE MAN; Dr OLUDARE BADA AT A GLANCE
Dr Bada was born on 9th of April 1953 in Ijomu/Obanla ward of Akure south LG of Ondo state. He is a Christian and married to Mrs K.A Bada with four children. He attended several educational institutions both within and outside Nigeria including the prestigious OAU Ile Ife and Haggai Institute, Hawaii, USA. His academic qualifications cut across medecine, theology and leadership training from several institutions. He is a member of several professional bodies including the Royal Society of Medecine, Royal Society of Health, NMA, association of general and private medical practitioners of Nigeria, Haggai Institute Alumni Association to mention just few. His working experience outside the medical field include several political appointments he has held in Ondo state as well as outside the state. His political experience include member, SRC OAU Students union in 1974, Leader of Akure Divisional students union in 1975, youth leader of UPN Akure constituency 11 in 1978, caucus member, NRC 1990, gubernatorial campaign manager of AD Ondo state in 1998, gubernatorial aspirant of PDP in 2011, state caucus member of PDP from 2007 till recently when he moved to NNPP, National delegate of PDP in 2011, member of the presidential campaign team of PDP South west in 2011, and several others. He has held several appointments including Commissioner for health and social services in Ondo state in 1994, chairman, health management board, Ondo state, Chairman Lagos Airport Hotels in 1999, member Board of Trustees of Adekulne Ajasin National Scholarship Scheme, Chairman Board of Governors of Christ the Redeemers College, Akure and Executive Chairman, Hospitals Management Board of Ondo state. He represents the face of the new Ondo state that would guarantee a future for the youths. He is endeared greatly to the people especially the down trodden and vulnerable ones.
