CALL HOME

A young student in college got bothered as He watched his friends call home and get help right away when they're in need. He had no one to call. No family to run to. It broke him. Until he heard a soft whisper: “Son, call home. I’m here to help you.” He knew it was God. That moment changed everything for him.

Friend, you need to call home. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you.” A lot of people are fighting battles alone, not realizing help is one prayer away. When you gave your life to Christ, you were adopted into God’s family. He is now your Father (Romans 8:15). Don’t ignore that privilege.

The prodigal son understood this. He left a place of abundance and ended up in lack. Luke 15:17 says he “came to himself” and decided to return. He left danger for safety and confusion for direction. When he got home, his father ran to him, embraced him, and celebrated him (Luke 15:22-24).

No matter how far you think you’ve gone, you can still call home. God is waiting to receive you with open arms (Luke 15:20). Don’t let pride rob you of your inheritance. Don’t let guilt steal your forgiveness. And don’t believe the lie that you can fix yourself alone. God is the Potter. He knows how to fix your life (Jeremiah 18:1-6).

The greatest privilege any human can have is to have access to God, the Monarch of the universe. Prayer is often underrated. Matthew 6:9 teaches us to say, “Our Father.” If you had the president’s number, you’d use it. Our access to God is greaer (Psalm 3:2-4). So why do we struggle in silence?

God didn’t save you to walk alone. He also placed you in a church family. That’s why you have a pastor and spiritual siblings (Jeremiah 3:15). So why wander? Why eat with swine when there’s a table for you (Psalm 68:6)? Maximize your access to God and your place in church. You were never meant to be stranded. Call home.

GROW BEYOND YOUR PRESSURE

The young pastor walked into the senior pastor’s office in desperation: “Sir, help us pay rent. We are under pressure.” The older pastor listened, then opened up about the weight he carried too. The young pastor left, saying, “Sir, forget us. I didn’t know your load was this heavy.” The young man learned how to manage his own pressure.

Friend, pressure is not a sign that you are failing. It’s often proof that you’re moving (Luke 5:1). As you grow, pressure grows with you. Singles feel the pressure to settle down. Married couples feel the pressure to keep a home. Employees complain about work, while CEOs carry the weight of the entire company.

We sometimes think pastors don’t struggle, or leaders don’t have stuff they deal with. That’s not true (1 Thessalonians 5:25, 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2). A local government chairman has pressure. The president has even more. The bigger the head, the bigger the headache.

Every new level comes with new pressure (Acts 6:1-4). There’s pressure from lack and pressure from abundance. Pressure from having no job and pressure from having too much work. Pressure from stagnation and pressure from growth and success (Luke 5:4-7).

So, how do we manage pressure? Normalize it. Pressure is common to all men — rich or poor, small or great, spiritual or not. Don’t be shocked by it. Reframe it. Pressure is proof of productivity. Don’t complain under it. Ask God for grace to rise above it (Psalm 61:2).

Grow beyond your pressure (Genesis 27:40). Mountains don’t grow, but you can grow. Grow spiritually and emotionally. Grow in capacity. Grow in how you handle people and tasks. Sometimes, your financial pressure is actually calling you to grow in financial wisdom (Ecclesiastes 10:10, 15). Don’t let pressure crush you. Let it grow you.

HOW TO UNLOCK GREATNESS

One of the most respected ministers in our nation today was raised as a close associate of a renowned man of God. He is a true picture of stewardship in service and ministry. His words have stayed with me: “My life’s assignment is to serve this man — my set man. Everything else is secondary.” And he has lived by it.

Friend, you need to know how to unlock divine greatness. Your greatness is often tied to someone else’s greatness. There's someone you are meant to serve and through whom you will be lifted. Find that person. Serve that person as unto the Lord (John 3:30, Colossians 3:23-24).

In marriage, a wife’s greatness is often unlocked through her husband’s greatness. A wise woman positions herself to support, serve, and see her husband succeed. The conversation should not be about gender equality. It should be about gender understanding and difference (Genesis 1:27).

Men and women are equal in creation but different in role, responsibility, placement, and assignment. When we fight this, we only create unnecessary struggles. But when a woman takes her place in a man’s life, greatness flows naturally. Abraham and Sarah are a perfect example (Isaiah 51:1-2, 1 Peter 3:6-7).

You don’t always have to own your own thing to be great. You can serve in someone else’s thing and still live fulfilled. Greatness is not about what you own. It is about who you are and what you have been assigned to do (1 Corinthians 7:20). Stop struggling to be big. Find where greatness already exists and serve it.

Stay in your place. Serve your way into destiny. Pray for a fresh baptism of humility to align with divine placement (Philippians 2:5-11). Don’t fight your destiny link. Connect with it, and stay positioned for relevance (1 Samuel 23:16-17). That's how to unlock greatness.

MARRIAGE IS A MULTIPLIER

I was deeply touched by her remark when she was given the mic to speak. According to her, “I thank God for my husband. Everything you see in me today is a product of God’s grace and my marriage to this man. This marriage has greatly multiplied my effectiveness in life and destiny.” Indeed, marriage is a multiplier.

Friend, marriage is a multiplier. This is one reason you should desire a good marriage (Deuteronomy 32:30). God’s plan is that marriage should bring out the best in you. If marriage reduces you, it may mean you married the wrong person or you are not doing marriage right (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).

As you pray for the right person, plan to do marriage right (Malachi 2:13-16). Christians who do not do marriage well give people reason to question God’s design for marriage. If an unbeliever has a better marriage than a believer, then something is wrong somewhere (2 Corinthians 6:14-17).

Marriage multiplies what you bring into it (Galatians 6:7-9). It reveals and increases who you already are (Proverbs 23:7). This is why you must enter marriage with the right attitude, values, and character. If you are loving, expect marriage to increase that love. If you bring prejudice, do not expect fairness.

I heard a woman of God pray, "Lord, if my husband fails in life, hold me responsible." She was willing to pay the price to make her marriage work (Proverbs 31:12). She chose to be a multiplier. Don't marry someone who diminishes or disrespects you in a relationship. It would continue in marriage (1 Peter 3:7).

Give God something to multiply in your marriage (Isaiah 51:1-2). Bring commitment. Sow the right seeds. Pursue divine purpose and get involved in kingdom assignment. Love your spouse. Care for your children and family. Honour one another. Make your home a centre of kingdom operations (Psalms 128:1-6).

God does not want to be one of your options. He wants to be your only option. God is all you need to have all your needs...
