Governor Aiyedatiwa’s intentional strategy of eradicating poverty by empowering entrepreneurs, expanding economic participation, and changing the narrative of Ondo State as a civil-service state is highly commendable.

Every week, the Ondo State Entrepreneurship Agency (ONDEA) trains and empowers entrepreneurs, helping them establish and structure their businesses while creating pathways for them to become part of the formal economy.

Governor Aiyedatiwa’s approach is particularly innovative because it goes beyond simply giving people support. It is creating economic actors.

As these entrepreneurs formalise their businesses, enter the tax net, generate revenue and create jobs, they contribute directly to the economic growth of Ondo State.
