‎It's with great shock and sadness i received the news of the passing of distinguished senator Tony Adeniyi, a member of the 7th Senate.
‎
‎It was painful to read about the demise of the ebullient man of great honor.

‎Sen. Adeniyi was a good brother who maintained peace and fostered good relationship in spite of political differences.
‎
‎He was a good son of Ekiti State and truly believed in the Ekiti project. He will always be remembered for his commitment, dedication and invaluable contributions to the development of Ekiti state.
‎
‎I pray God will console the family, Ikere-Ekiti and people of Ekiti State on this terrible loss.

Senator 'Biodun Olujimi Bags The National Legislative Award 2026.

‎The former vice president of ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians Senator Abiodun Olujimi, on Tuesday bagged the national legislative award 2026.
‎
‎The award was bestowed on her, based on her legislative prowess, deep knowledge of governance, activities and her wealth of experiences to make impacts in the hallow chambers.
‎
‎Presenting the award to the lawmaker, President of the "Hallowmace Africa" said Olujimi’s choice followed her track records at the National Assembly.
‎
“we are here because we feel she is a woman that has done well in the National Assembly. She was once a deputy Governor, a ranking Senator for that matter and her records in the Ecowas female parliament are indelible”.

‎Specifically, the organizers of the award said “she has been the voice of the women and youths”.
‎
‎Senator Olujimi in her remarks, said, it was honorable to count me worthy, “that is a great honour. To imagine that I didn’t expect it, but, you thought me fit to be decorated and honored, I am extremely grateful”.

‎The former deputy Governor of Ekiti state said “for me, this is an encouragement, and it means more work, what we have done is still insufficient and that we should continue and do a lot more”.

‎“It is also good to note that what we are doing is for the benefit of Nigerians, it is for the good of our people and to make Nigeria better. When you are involved in the Parliament, you are asked to come and make laws for good government and for the ease of life of our constituents and that is what I did.

‎“once in a while we also try to ensure that we reach out to the less privilege in the society and also to attract empowerment and Programmes into our constituencies and make life a bit better for them”.
