Hon. Dr. Bar. Mathew D. Yare Empowers Widows in Nyanya Ward Ahead of Re-Election Campaign

The Councilor representing Nyanya Ward and current Speaker of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Dr. Mathew D. Yare, organized an empowerment program for widows across Nyanya Ward as part of his ongoing re-election campaign.

The event, which brought together hundreds of widows and less-privileged mothers, featured the distribution of over ₦2 million in cash, 500 wrappers (traditional clothing), and more than 1,000 handbags. Hon. Yare emphasized the importance of compassion in politics, stating that "the God of the widows is a God of humanity, and politics must also be about humanity."

Known for his consistent efforts to uplift the less privileged, Hon. Yare has remained a vocal advocate for unconditional giving and community support. His kind gesture was met with joy and gratitude, with many attendees praising his unwavering support during these challenging economic times.

Widow leaders expressed their heartfelt appreciation, thanking Hon. Yare for remembering them when they needed help the most. They prayed for his success in the upcoming elections and pledged to mobilize 5,000 votes in support of the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

The empowerment event was attended by Nyanya and PDP stakeholders from the FCT down to the ward level, reflecting strong community and party support for Hon. Yare’s bid for re-election.
