As Rising Cases of Brodaylight Robbery Raises Concern in Lokoja.

Firstly, Lokoja should not be a den of brodaylight robbery, the state security agencies shouldn't allow criminals truncate our collective efforts of redeeming the image of the state, hence, calling on the state Commissioner of police, Director of state security service, the Civil defense, and Vigilantes to intensify their intelligent operations/surveillance within the city centre, and it's environs, to curb the menace of daylight robbery in Kogi state.

The report we got was terrible, in a coordinated attack, a strong supporting member of this platform was attacked yesterday in Lokoja on his way from his bank. The issue is, he was seemingly monitored right from the bulk room of First Bank, down to 200 unit junction—where he was double crossed by a Corolla S Vehicle, loaded with masked rubbers (about three of them), the first question was, WHERE IS THE MONEY? (a question that raises suspicion of close monitoring from the bank), pointed góns to his head from different angles, taking away the whole huge amount of money in 000.000 from him, seized his car keys, and zoomed off towards ganaja village.

Such a terrible experience, but to this end, we write, calling on the attention of our agile Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to this many inherently—rising daylight robery in our virile state to call on the state security agencies to intensify their intelligence in that regards, bringing to a halt, this unfortunate incidents of rising daylight robbery in Lokoja, as this must not be allowed to degenerate further. We pray for God to expose the perpetrators, and bring them to justice, Amen.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of Prof. Salihu Sanusi Avidime as the new Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic.

Prof. Avidime, a seasoned scholar in Political Science, holds a B.Sc. (Hons) from Usmanu Dan Fodio University, a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Bayero University Kano, an MSc in Public Finance from the University of Calabar, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.
