Kwara Youths Back Tinubu for Second Term, Endorse Araba Femi Sanni for Governor | The SignalNG

In a move that has sent ripples through the political landscape of the “State of Harmony,” the youth demographic of Kwara State has made a definitive stand regarding the future of both the state and the nation. Under the organized banner of the Kwara Youth for Good Governance, representatives from all 16 Local Government Areas (LGAs) have formally declared their unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the gubernatorial candidacy of Engr. Femi Sanni, affectionately known by his supporters as “Araba.”

The declaration, contained in a detailed communiqué issued on Friday, marks a significant shift in local political dynamics. It suggests a strategic alignment between the youth’s vision for federal continuity and a fresh, technocratic approach to state leadership.

The communiqué follows weeks of what the group described as “extensive grassroots consultations, town hall assessments, and rigorous internal debates.” From the northern reaches of Baruten and Kaiama to the industrial hubs of Offa and the capital in Ilorin, the message from the youth was singular: Kwara requires a leadership synergy that connects the “Renewed Hope” agenda in Abuja directly to the streets of Kwara.

Salman Idris Olamilekan, the Convener of Kwara Youth for Good Governance, signed the document, emphasizing that this was not a decision made in a vacuum.

We have watched, we have listened, and we have analyzed the trajectory of our nation and our state,” Olamilekan stated. “This endorsement is the result of a collective realization that Kwara cannot afford to be an island. We need a bridge-builder at home and a reformer at the center.

A significant portion of the communiqué was dedicated to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Despite the complexities of national economic reforms, the Kwara youths expressed a sophisticated understanding of the “long game.” They commended the President’s boldness in tackling structural issues that have historically hindered Nigeria’s growth.

The group highlighted several key areas where the Tinubu administration’s direction aligns with youth interests.

The youths argued that “changing horses mid-stream” would only reset the progress made in the last few years, asserting that continuity at the federal level is the safest bet for national growth.

While the federal endorsement focused on stability, the state endorsement for Engr. Femi Sanni focused on transformation. The nickname “Araba” referring to the mighty Mahogany tree is symbolic of the strength, shelter, and deep roots Sanni has established within the Kwara community.

The Kwara Youth for Good Governance meticulously detailed why Sanni is their choice to succeed the current administration. According to the communiqué, the “Araba” vision is built on four pillars.

As an engineer, Sanni is viewed through the lens of a “fixer.” The youths expressed a preference for a leader who understands the mechanics of infrastructure, urban planning, and industrialization. In a state looking to modernize its economy, a technocratic background is seen as a major asset.

The group praised Sanni’s “people-oriented” approach. Unlike the ivory-tower politics often criticized by the youth, Sanni’s campaign has been characterized by direct engagement with local artisans, students, and young entrepreneurs.

This announcement is more than just a statement on paper; it is a call to action. The group revealed that they have already begun setting up “Good Governance Directorates” across the 193 wards of Kwara State. These directorates will serve as hubs for voter education, mobilization, and the promotion of the Tinubu-Sanni ticket.

The youths pledged their readiness to engage in a door-to-door campaign to explain the benefits of this partnership to the elderly, the market women, and their fellow young citizens. They emphasized that this declaration was made “freely and independently,” aimed at correcting the narrative that youth involvement in politics is purely transactional.

The communiqué concluded with a powerful plea for unity among Kwarans. The youths stressed that the era of divisive politics must give way to an era of “Inclusion and Progress.”

By backing a seasoned engineer like Sanni and a veteran reformer like Tinubu, the Kwara Youth for Good Governance believes they are securing a future where the “State of Harmony” becomes the “State of Prosperity.”

As the political season heats up, this 16-LGA endorsement serves as a formidable baseline for the conversations to come. Whether in the bustling markets of Ilorin or the quiet farmlands of Patigi, the name “Araba” and the call for federal continuity are now firmly etched into the Kwara political lexicon.

Kwara Tiwa Ni (Our Own Kwara): A Call To Own, Build, And Secure Our Future

Kwara State has always stood at the intersection of heritage and possibility. From the ancient legacy of Ilorin to the growing commercial promise across our local governments, Kwara is more than just a state it is a shared identity, a collective inheritance, and a responsibility.

The phrase “Kwara Tiwa Ni” translated as “Kwara is ours” is not just a slogan; it is a philosophy of ownership, accountability, and active participation in shaping the destiny of our land.

Today, more than ever, Kwarans must rise beyond passive citizenship and embrace this philosophy. The future of Kwara cannot be outsourced. It must be built by those who understand its challenges, appreciate its diversity, and are committed to its progress. This is why the conversation around the 2027 gubernatorial election is not just political it is existential.

“Kwara Tiwa Ni”

“Kwara Tiwa Ni” speaks to three core ideals:

• Ownership The people must see Kwara as theirs, not as a possession of a few elites or political families.
• Responsibility Citizens must hold leaders accountable and contribute meaningfully to governance.

• Continuity of Progress Development should not be accidental or seasonal; it must be deliberate and sustained.

For too long, governance in many parts of Nigeria has been disconnected from the grassroots. Policies are often designed without adequate understanding of local realities. But a “Kwara Tiwa Ni” mindset demands leadership that is rooted in the people leadership that listens, understands, and delivers.

The Need for a Technocratic and Visionary Leader

As Kwara approaches 2027, the stakes are high. The state needs more than political rhetoric; it needs competence, innovation, and strategic ex*****on. Infrastructure must be modernized, youth unemployment addressed, agriculture revitalized, and technology integrated into governance.

This is where the candidacy of Femi Sanni becomes both relevant and compelling.

Engr. Femi Sanni Represents the Spirit of “Kwara Tiwa Ni”

Proven Technical Expertise

As an engineer, Engr. Femi Sanni brings a problem solving mindset to governance. Unlike career politicians, technocrats are trained to analyze challenges, design solutions, and execute projects efficiently. Kwara needs infrastructure that worksroads that last, water systems that serve communities, and urban planning that anticipates future growth.

Infrastructure and Development Focus

Kwara’s development must go beyond cosmetic projects. It requires structural transformation industrial hubs, improved rural-urban connectivity, and sustainable energy solutions. Engr. Sanni’s background positions him to drive these initiatives with precision and accountability. Youth Empowerment and Innovation

With a large youth population, Kwara cannot afford to ignore the energy and potential of its young people. Engr. Sanni has consistently emphasized empowerment through skills development, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation. A government that invests in its youth secures its future.

Grassroots Connection

“Kwara Tiwa Ni” is meaningless without the people. Engr. Sanni’s approach reflects an understanding that governance must be inclusive. From rural farmers to urban entrepreneurs, every Kwara citizen deserves a voice and an opportunity.

Integrity and Accountability

At the heart of the “Our Kwara” philosophy is trust. Kwarans are increasingly demanding transparency and accountability in governance. Engr. Sanni’s reputation aligns with this expectation offering a leadership style that prioritizes service over self-interest.

Why Kwarans Must Unite Behind a Shared Vision
Elections should not be driven by sentiment, ethnicity, or short-term gains. They should be guided by vision, competence, and the long-term interest of the state. Supporting a candidate like Engr. Femi Sanni is not just about choosing a person it is about choosing a direction.

“Kwara Tiwa Ni” calls for unity across all divides:
• Ethnic Unity Yoruba, Fulani, Nupe, Baruba all must see Kwara as one.
• Generational Unity Youth and elders must collaborate for progress.
• Political Unity Beyond party lines, the focus should be on capacity and results.

The 2027 Opportunity: A Defining Moment

The 2027 gubernatorial election presents a defining opportunity for Kwara State. It is a chance to reset priorities, redefine governance, and recommit to sustainable development. It is a moment to move from politics of survival to politics of prosperity.
Supporting Engr. Femi Sanni means embracing:
• Competence over mediocrity
• Vision over ambiguity
• Development over stagnation

Our Kwara, Our Responsibility

“Kwara Tiwa Ni” is more than a chant it is a commitment. A commitment to build, to protect, and to advance the state we call home. The future of Kwara lies not in the hands of a few, but in the collective will of its people.

As 2027 approaches, Kwarans must ask themselves a simple but profound question: What kind of Kwara do we want?

If the answer is a Kwara that is developed, inclusive, and forward-thinking, then the path is clear. It is time to support leaders who embody these ideals. It is time to stand behind Engr. Femi Sanni and move Kwara forward.

Kwara Tiwa Ni. Our Kwara. Our Future.

Araba Femi Sanni : The Right Leader to Sustain and Advance Kwara’s Progress

Kwara State has witnessed a remarkable shift in governance, development, and public trust under the leadership of Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. His administration has redefined what it means to serve the people placing transparency, infrastructure, and human capital development at the heart of governance.
Today, Kwarans are not just looking for a new governor; they are looking for a worthy successor someone who will not only preserve this legacy but build upon it with vision, energy, and proven capacity.
That leader is Femi Sanni Araba.
Femi Sanni Araba represents continuity with progress. He understands that the strides made in road construction, education reform, healthcare delivery, and urban renewal must not be interrupted. Rather, they must be strengthened, expanded, and accelerated. Kwara cannot afford to go backwards it must move forward with a leader who aligns with the current trajectory of growth.
What distinguishes Femi Sanni Araba is his deep commitment to development as a mission, not a slogan. He recognizes that infrastructure is the backbone of any thriving economy. From rural access roads that support farmers to urban infrastructure that boosts commerce, his vision is clear: connect every part of Kwara to opportunity. He sees infrastructure not just as projects, but as a tool to empower people and transform lives.
Under the AbdulRazaq administration, Kwarans have seen what responsible governance looks like prudent management of resources, people focused policies, and visible development across the state. Femi Sanni Araba is uniquely positioned to sustain this momentum. He shares the same philosophy of governance: putting the people first, ensuring accountability, and delivering measurable results.
But beyond continuity, he brings fresh energy and innovation. His approach integrates modern economic strategies, youth empowerment programs, and strategic partnerships that will attract investment into Kwara. He understands the importance of creating jobs, supporting small businesses, and positioning the state as a hub of growth in Nigeria.
Equally important is his inclusive leadership style. Femi Sanni Araba believes that every Kwara citizen matters regardless of background, location, or status. His vision ensures that development reaches all 16 local government areas, leaving no community behind. This is the kind of leadership that strengthens unity and builds a shared future.
The choice before Kwarans is clear. The progress achieved must not be disrupted. The legacy of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq must not only be protected it must be elevated to new heights.
Femi Sanni Araba is not just aligned with that vision he is prepared to deliver it.
He is a builder.
He is a reformer.
He is a forward thinking leader.
Most importantly, he is the bridge between the achievements of today and the possibilities of tomorrow.
For Kwarans who believe in continuity, development, and a brighter future, the path is clear.
Femi Sanni Araba is the best choice to carry the torch forward and lead Kwara into its next phase of growth.
God bless Kwara!
God bless Nigeria!

TRENDING: Resurfaced Photos of Araba Femi Sanni Stir Debate Over Kwara’s Progressive Political Roots | The SignalNG

The political atmosphere in Kwara State is buzzing following the sudden resurfacing of archival photographs featuring Engr. Femi Sanni, popularly known as Araba — a development that is fast gaining traction across political circles and social media platforms.

What initially appeared as a nostalgic throwback has quickly evolved into a trending political conversation, with many observers saying the images may reshape ongoing narratives around leadership, legacy, and succession ahead of the 2027 governorship race.

At the heart of the discussion are powerful visual moments captured during the formative years of Nigeria’s progressive political movement. One of the widely circulated photographs shows Araba at a convergence of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD), a gathering regarded as a cornerstone in the evolution of modern progressive politics in the country.

In the same frame is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, seated among key figures of the movement.
However, what has drawn particular attention is not just Tinubu’s presence, but Araba’s visible positioning within the fold — not as a distant observer, but as an active participant in the political circle at the time.

For many analysts, this image reinforces claims of his longstanding ties to the progressive bloc, long before current alignments began to take shape.

Another photograph fueling the conversation captures a younger Araba in close interaction with the late Abraham Adesanya, one of the most respected figures in Nigeria’s pro-democracy and progressive history.

The image has been widely interpreted as evidence of ideological proximity and possible mentorship, further deepening arguments about Araba’s political pedigree.

Across Kwara’s political landscape, the images are being described as “quietly disruptive.” Without overt statements or direct political messaging, they appear to challenge existing assumptions about who holds authentic roots within the progressive tradition in the state.

Political watchers note that in an era where many aspirants are positioning themselves as torchbearers of that legacy, Araba’s resurfaced visual history introduces a different dimension to the conversation — one anchored in documented participation rather than recent political alignment.

“This is not about rhetoric; it’s about verifiable history,” a political analyst in Ilorin noted. “These images provide context, and context matters, especially when questions of credibility and continuity come into play.”

The development has also sparked wider debate about what truly defines belonging within a political tradition. Is it long-term involvement in foundational movements, personal interactions with ideological leaders, or present-day affiliations?

While no direct comparisons have been made, the implications of the trending images are not lost on politically engaged audiences. Many see them as subtly reframing the narrative ahead of what is expected to be a highly competitive 2027 governorship race in Kwara State.

As conversations continue to build online and within party structures, one thing is clear: the re-emergence of these photographs has injected fresh momentum into Kwara’s political discourse.

In a landscape where perception often shapes reality, Araba’s past — now vividly brought back into the spotlight — may prove to be a significant factor in the battles ahead.

And as the debate unfolds, one enduring political truth is once again reinforced: in politics, history is never truly in the past.

Chad Closes Border With Nigeria Over Security Concerns, Cites U.S. Military invasion reports

The Government of Chad has announced the immediate closure of its border with Nigeria, citing security concerns following reports of alleged U.S. military plans in West Africa.

According to a report by Zagazola, the directive was issued by President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, who ordered a complete military lockdown along the Nigerian border after intelligence suggested that terr+rist elements from northern Nigeria were preparing to flee into Chadian territory.

Military sources in N’Djamena confirmed that the Chadian army has been placed on full alert, with troops and armoured vehicles deployed across key border corridors linking the two countries.

President Déby was quoted as saying that “no armed group or foreign force will be allowed to enter Chadian soil under any disguise.”

The move comes amid heightened regional tension and growing speculation over America’s alleged military activities in parts of West Africa.

Security analysts, said the closure was a preventive measure aimed at safeguarding Chadian sovereignty and preventing possible infiltration by armed groups exploiting regional instability.

Former Petroleum Minister, Timipre Sylva who is under investigations for plotting a Military coup to topple the Government of President Bola Tinubu, fled Nigeria to Senegal from where he is to go into hiding in Argentina, a South American country.

Insiders said the former Minister fled through the creeks immediately he got wind that the coup plot had leaked.

Highly placed sources told me that the first military officer arrested in connection with the coup plot wasted no time in naming Sylva as the arrowhead and financier of the coup plot.
