♻️ What started as an idea to tackle plastic pollution on Nigerian university campuses is now delivering real impact.
Through the FEF Plastic Waste Processing Project, the Embassy of France in Nigeria has partnered with universities, researchers, innovators, and technical experts to turn plastic waste into opportunities for learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Today, the microplants at Nile University of Nigeria, and the University of Lagos are fully operational, giving students and researchers hands-on experience in plastic recycling while exploring new ways to create sustainable products and businesses.
As we mark World Environment Day this month, this achievement reminds us that meaningful environmental action goes beyond awareness—it requires practical solutions.
By advancing circular economy practices, reducing plastic pollution, and supporting green innovation, these microplants are helping to build a more sustainable and climate-resilient future. 🌍🌱
This milestone also highlights the strength of France-Nigeria cooperation in addressing shared environmental challenges and investing in solutions with lasting impact.
♻️ From waste to value.
💡 From ideas to innovation.
🏗️ From vision to reality.
