Div., Adam Nash, during the 4th Inf. Div. Change of Command on June 13, 2023, at Fort Carson Colorado. The Ivy League recognizes distinguished and honorary members of the 4th Inf. Div. or Fort Carson, who embody a legacy of selfless service to other and their meaningful impact toward improving readiness through active military service or selfless partnership with soldiers and families.

I shook the hand of Staff Sgt. Savon Tyree Hollimon, a cavalry scout with 1st Battalion 68th Armor Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Div., after the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC) board in the 4th Inf. Div. Headquarters at Fort Carson, Colorado, March 2, 2023. Induction and membership in the SAMC is a reward for non commissioned officers whose leadership achievements warrant special recognition.

Brig. Gen. James K. Dooghan, Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver of 4th Infantry Division, presents Command Sgt. Maj. Adam Nash, former senior enlisted leader of 4th Infantry Division the Distinguished Service Medal for exceptional service and duties of great responsibility over a 27-year career. Nash’s tremendous leadership, dedication and selfless service contributed to the overall success of the Army’s Mission.
The Distinguished Service Medal was established by an Act of Congress on July 9, 1918. A notable recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal is former 4th Infantry Division Command Sgt. Maj. and Sergeant Major of the Army (Ret.) Daniel A. Daly.

On November 9, 2022, at the Hub on Fort Carson, Colorado, I, Command Sgt. Maj. Adam Nash, senior enlisted leader of the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson, greeted our new Soldiers during a Newcomer’s Brief. At the event, Maj. Gen. David M. Hodne, our commanding general, and I welcomed these Soldiers to Fort Carson and shared words to help them feel part of the Mountain Post team.

As the 4th Infantry Division command sergeant major, I stood alongside our Junior Officer of the Year, 1st Lt. Rebekah Fox, and our Warrant Officer of the Year, Warrant Officer Dan Nguyen, during a special ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. Together, we spread soil from every duty location and country where the 4th Infantry Division has been stationed or deployed during a major conflict, honoring the Soldiers of our division past, present, and future.

A public affairs specialist assigned to the 14th Public Affairs Detachment, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 4th Infantry Division receives an award from Command Sgt. Maj. Adam Nash, the senior enlisted advisor of 4th Inf. Div. at the change of command ceremony on July 2, 2021, Fort Carson, Colorado. Scott received the Army Commendation Medal for winning Soldier of the Year.

On June 11, 2021, at Fort Carson, Colorado, I, Command Sgt. Maj. Adam Nash, senior enlisted advisor of the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson, congratulated the Soldiers who baked the winning cake in a Fort Carson cake competition. Their cake, made in honor of the Army’s 246th birthday, took first place against two other competing DFACs.
