“If you sow service, you will be served. If you sow followership, you will become a leader.”
That was one of several profound statements shared by Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, during our recent retreat at the Presidential Community Engagement Office (South-West).
Drawing from his experience in public service and grassroots leadership, he reminded us that leadership is not built on titles alone. It is cultivated through service, humility, discipline, and the willingness to learn from others.
He also emphasised the importance of self-awareness and intentional relationships, encouraging us to know who we are and to be mindful of the kinds of people we surround ourselves with, because the company we keep often shapes the leaders we become.
His session challenged us to reflect more deeply on responsibility, character, and the long journey that shapes effective leadership.
A truly insightful engagement.
