A Message To The Good People And Supporter OF Greater Awgu Constituency: The Mandate Is Not Silenced By A Ruling - DR. John Nwokeabia Speaks To Greater Awgu
... STAY CALM. STAND FIRM. LET THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE.

Dear Constituents, Party Faithfuls, and Supporters,

There are moments in every political journey when conviction is tested and resolve challenged. The true strength of a cause lies not in the absence of obstacles, but in the courage to face them with dignity, discipline, and faith in the rule of law.

Following today's Federal High Court ruling in the pre-election matter instituted by Mr. Chijioke Okereke against me, the NBC, and INEC, I urge our people to remain calm, steadfast, and unshaken. This development calls for neither panic nor surrender, but confidence in the judicial process. Rumours must not replace facts, and uncertainty must not weaken our commitment to due process.

OUR FACTS REMAIN OUR FACTS

My emergence as the NDC candidate for Awgu/Aninri/Oji River Federal Constituency followed the party's primary election, which the party maintains was conducted in accordance with due process and monitored by INEC. The party continues to recognise me as its candidate, and the Certificate of Return issued on 26 October 2026 reflects that position.

Our legal team has identified grounds for appeal, including statutory limitation and concerns regarding the availability of the reasons for the ruling. We await the Certified True Copy and will pursue the appropriate legal remedies in accordance with professional advice and applicable law. A ruling does not necessarily mark the end of the judicial process.

WE WILL NOT TRADE REASON FOR RUMOUR

Political suspicions must not be presented as established facts. Any allegation of interference must be supported by credible evidence and addressed through appropriate channels. Our responsibility is to preserve unity, uphold democratic principles, and pursue the representation and development our people deserve.

OUR MOBILISATION CONTINUES: NO RETREAT, NO FATIGUE

My commitment to Awgu, Aninri, and Oji River remains unwavering. Effective representation, infrastructure, opportunity, and community development remain central to our aspirations.

Let no one be discouraged, distracted, or driven into retreat. Our campaign will continue, our mobilisation will not suffer fatigue, and our commitment to reaching every ward, community, and household across Greater Awgu remains firm. There will be no retreat from our aspirations and no abandonment of the people who have placed their hopes in this journey.

We shall remain organised, peacefully, focused, and resolute, allowing the legal process to take its course while continuing our lawful political engagements and campaign. A legal challenge must not paralyse our political movement. Our structures remain active; our grassroots engagement continues; and our collective purpose remains intact.

I urge our supporters to verify information before sharing it, remain peaceful, continue to mobilise for NDC and allow our legal team to do its work. The strength of a cause is measured not by how loudly its supporters react to adversity, but by how firmly they uphold their principles when tested.

Remain calm. Remain united. Be guided by facts, not fear. Our confidence must be anchored in the law, our conduct governed by peace, and our future shaped by the aspirations of our people. Thank you for your continued support. May God bless Awgu, Aninri, and Oji River.

PETER MBAH’S ALLEGED INTIMIDATION TACTICS AGAINST KEKE RIDERS EXPOSE A GOVERNMENT RUNNING ON FEAR

PRESS STATEMENT
Office of the Media Aide to Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa
NDC Governorship Candidate, Enugu State

26th October, 2026

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State under the leadership of our Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and Governorship Candidate, Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa, has noted with deep concern the reports circulating among commercial tricycle (Keke) operators that they are allegedly being coerced to paste stickers of Governor Peter Mbah and the APC on their vehicles, with also alleged threats of heavy fines for non-compliance.

These reports come barely days after the same Keke riders were mobilised for a political endorsement rally where the Governor announced the suspension of the ₦750 daily ticket.

Soon after that suspension by Gov. Mbah, it was publicly confirmed by the Keke Chairman Comrade Kingsley Ede himself, that riders are still required to pay ₦350 daily. This cover-up and inconsistency in the government presentation marred the anticipated relief and consequently resulted in resentment and confusion.

Even more painful is the fact that the body of the late Keke rider, Mr. Friday Nwobodo from Umuatugbuoma, Akegbe-Ugwu, who died at the Gariki Terminal, is still in the mortuary. His wife and children remain in pain. Yet instead of focusing on justice for the deceased and emotional support for his family, or fully honouring the promises made to Keke operators at the rally, the government appears more interested in alleged enforcement of political sticker branding on the same people whose livelihoods it has made difficult for the past three and a half years.

This pattern of alleged pressure and intimidation — first with attendance at rallies, now with stickers — is not the behaviour of a confident government. It is the behaviour of a government that has lost the trust of the people and is now resorting to childish tactics to manufacture support.

*We advise Governor Peter Mbah to calm down. The consequences of making life unbearable for ordinary Ndi Enugu over the last three and a half years cannot be erased by alleged forced stickers, incomplete levy waivers, or last-minute political shows.*

Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa offers a clear alternative. Under an Ohaa administration, Keke riders and all transporters will be treated with dignity. There will be no harassment, no forced political branding, no cruel daily levies, and no abandonment of families of those who die in the course of earning a living. Public support will be earned through justice and good governance — not through intimidation.

Ndi Enugu deserve a leadership that respects them, not one that allegedly pressures them.

Vote Mr. Peter Obi for President.
Vote Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa for Governor.
Vote NDC.

Let's Make Enugu Great Again.

Hon. Sampson Ukwu

Enugu Youth and Student Coalitions Back NDC Ahead of 2027 General Elections

ENUGU, NIGERIA — A coalition of prominent youth and student organizations in Enugu State has pledged a strategic partnership with the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, reaffirming their conviction that a "New Nigeria is Possible."

The coalition comprising the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) led by Comrade Ede Gabriel, the Youth Association of Nigeria (YAN) led by Damian Ugo, the Council of Student Union Presidents Enugu (COSUPEN) led by Comrade Emmanuel Nwankwo, and the Patriotic Initiative for Peace and Development (PIPD) led by Engr. Obinna Opu J., unanimously commended the leadership capacity, proven track record, and humane disposition of the NDC Enugu State Governorship candidate, Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa.

Speaking during a solidarity rally in Enugu, the youth leaders emphasized their role as stakeholders in the country's future, noting that aligning with the NDC aligns with their vision for good governance and transformative leadership capable of steering Enugu State away from economic hardship, insecurity, and systemic degradation.

"Our commitment to this partnership stems from the conviction that it will usher in a compassionate administration, one that prioritizes the security, welfare, and economic prosperity of its citizens," the coalition declared in a joint statement.

Responding on behalf of the governorship candidate, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Chief Frank Okenwa Omeje, commended the youth organizations for their foresight and civic commitment to national development.

Chief Omeje highlighted Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa’s extensive public service background, noting his progressive career from classroom teacher to Bursar, Accountant General, State Commissioner, and ultimate service as a Federal Director and Permanent Secretary across five key federal ministries.

"Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa is a proven administrator and a philanthropist with a track record of identifying structural challenges and resolving them effectively," Chief Omeje stated. "Through this strategic alliance, an NDC administration will revolutionize youth development in Enugu State—prioritizing quality education, vocational skills acquisition, job creation, sports development, and targeted economic empowerment programs."

He assured the coalition that their support would not be taken for granted and pledged inclusive youth representation in governance if elected in 2027.

Also present from the Chinyeaka Campaign Organization were the Director-General, Prof. Augustine Akubue; Director of Administration, Emeka Okeke Esq.; Campaign Council Secretary, Nebo Chukwujekwu Emmanuel; Director of Contact and Mobilization, Chief Hyacinth Ngwu; and Mr. Kentus Eze.

*A UNITED FRONT FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE: NDC STAKEHOLDERS HONOUR LATE CHRISTOPHER NWORIE IN AFFA*

The quiet community of Affa stood still on 22nd October, 2026, as political leaders, community elders, and supporters gathered in unshakable resolve and solidarity to pay their final respects to Christopher Ifeanyi Nwolie, a vibrant young soul whose life was tragically cut short following the attack on party faithfuls during the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship campaign flag-off in Enugu on 10th October, 2026.

In a powerful demonstration of unity and shared sorrow, a formidable delegation of top leadership and key stakeholders across Enugu State and beyond stood side by side with the bereaved family, sending a clear message: violence has no place in our politics, and no life should ever be traded for power.

Leading the high-powered delegation was the presidential candidate of NDC, Peter Obi, accompanied by his entourage, who joined the NDC Governorship Candidate, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa, and his running mate, Dr. Frank Omeje, to offer comfort to the grieving family and community.

Also present to pay respect and demand accountability were NDC Senatorial Candidates: Hon. Uche Kingsley Ene (Enugu West), Dr. Pat Asadu (Enugu North), Princess Ada Ogbu (Enugu East). The solemn gathering also featured House of Representatives candidates, including Dr. John Nwokeabia Aninri/Awgu/Oji River House of Representatives, along with several House of Assembly candidates and influential super-stakeholders.

Among those in attendance were: Hon. Ike Ezeugwu, former Leader of the State House of Assembly, Barr. Emeka Okeke, former Commissioner, Hon. Chukwujekwu Nebo, NDC State Secretary, Chief Chukwudi Brown Obi, alongside numerous other prominent leaders and party faithful.

Speaking at the funeral, leaders emphasized that Christopher’s memory must serve as a turning point for political sanity in Enugu State. True leadership is built on protecting citizens, defending justice, and fostering peaceful democratic engagement, not bloodshed or intimidation.

As Christopher Ifeanyi Nwolie is laid to rest, the NDC leadership reiterates its unwavering commitment to seeking full justice for his untimely demise. His death must not be swept under the carpet, nor can it become another forgotten chapter.

To the Nwolie family and the good people of Affa, NDC stalwart, Ex-Commissioner Emeka Okeke emphasised, "We stand with them in this difficult time. May the Almighty grant Christopher eternal rest and give his loved ones the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss."

I'm not here out of necessity, nor for self serving purpose. We are here because we believe in something far greater than ourselves. My driving force is absolute: to set an unprecedented benchmark for true representation, and to redefine what is possible when public office genuinely serves the people.

We will forge a legacy history cannot erase, measured not just by promises kept, but by dignity restored to governance, trust renewed in leadership, and real progress brought to the ordinary citizen like never before.

We came not to accommodate the old order, but to usher in the new.

Peter Obi leads. We follow.

ANOTHER YOUNG LIFE LOST: PETER MBAH’S “SAFE ENUGU” CLAIM LIES IN TATTERS

PRESS STATEMENT
Office of the Media Aide to Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa
NDC Governorship Candidate, Enugu State

24th October, 2026

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Enugu State under the leadership of our Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and Governorship Candidate, Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa, strongly condemns the killing of Enugu *entertainer and socialite, Izuchukwu Nnaji (popularly known as Stone),* by operatives of the Enugu State Police Anti-Cultism Section in the early hours of Wednesday, 22nd October 2026 at Bull Hotel.

The police have admitted that their operatives were involved. This is not an isolated incident. It follows the painful killing of Ogene musician Okezie Chikezie (Igbo Jah) in 2024 by a member of the same unit, the death of Keke rider Mr. Friday Nwobodo at Gariki Terminal, and the shooting to death of our own member, Ifeanyi Christopher Nwolie, at the NDC campaign office in GRA.

Governor Peter Mbah and the APC have repeatedly boasted that Enugu is safe. They have showcased cameras, drones, and a multi-billion-naira Command and Control Centre as proof of their security architecture.

Yet young men continue to die in the hands of those who should protect them.

Where were the cameras when Stone was shot at 3 a.m.?
Where were the drones?
What exactly is the Command and Control Centre controlling if lives keep dropping like this?

A government that claims “zero tolerance for violence” while Enugu youths are being cut down one after the other has lost the moral right to lecture anyone about safety.

*Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa has made his position clear: the safety of Enugu people — especially our young people — will never be treated as a secondary issue. Under an Ohaa administration, there will be no sacred cows in uniform. Security agencies will be held accountable. The Anti-Cult Unit will be thoroughly reorganised. And the blood of Ndi Enugu will no longer be spilled with impunity.*

Enough of propaganda.
Enough of empty boasts about cameras and command centres while bodies keep filling the morgue.

Ndi Enugu deserve a government that protects life first.

Vote Peter Obi.
Vote Sir Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa.
Vote NDC.

Let's Make Enugu Great Again.
