*COMPTROLLER OF IMMIGRATION SERVICE, FCT COMMAND, RECEIVES AWARD FOR " DISTINGUISHED PROFESSIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION" FROM THE INSTITUTE OF CORPORATE ADMINISTRATION.*

On Saturday the 16th of March, 2024. The Institute of Corporate Administration conferred a fellowship award for "Distinguished Professional Contributions to Public Administration" on the *Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, CIS Anthony Akuneme,fcai.*

The Award Ceremony which held at the Grand Pela Hotel, Abuja saw the Presence of Distinguished Professionals from many reputable Organizations with the theme" *Developing a Disciplined Mindset for Career Excellence Amidst Change".*

In his Opening Remarks, the *Director of the Institute of Corporate Administration, Dr God'swill Onyekwere* said the Comptroller FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, is a distinguished Public Servant, who has shown a high level of Discipline and Commitment over the years.

He said, this award is presented to you in recognition and appreciation of your dedication and commitment to service, your upwardly mobile visionary approach to administrative matters, professionalism in service and public spiritedness.

The Director wished the Comptroller many more years of fruitful Service to humanity.

The *Comptroller FCT Command, CIS Anthony Akuneme, fcai* dedicated the award to God Almighty and appreciated the *Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mrs Kemi Nandap,* for her visionary leadership style, which is touching positively the lives of so many Nigerians.

The Comptroller promised to increase his dedication and commitment to serving his father land.

*AWO-OMAMMA PATRIOTIC UNION ABUJA BRANCH, PAYS COURTESY CALL ON COMPTROLLER OF IMMIGRATION SERVICE, FCT COMMAND.*

On Thursday, the 7th of March, 2024.

*The Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, CIS Anthony Akuneme* received a delegation of Awo-Omamma Patriotic Union, Abuja branch in his office.

The delegation which was Led by the chairman, *Chief Kenneth Ihuarulam,* said they have converged, to pay homage and bestow a prestigious honour upon the *Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, CIS Anthony Akuneme,* who is one of their illustrious sons.

Amidst traditional chants and jubilant libations, the *Chairman of APU, Chief Kenneth Ihuarulam*, recounted the Comptroller’s tireless efforts in fostering unity and progress in Awo-Omamma, a community of about one million people in Imo state.

It was a moment of profound significance, as most of the speakers recounted the Comptrollers years of dedication and sacrifice in service to their community.

They prayed for God’s Divine guidance on the Comptroller, wishing him well in all his endeavours.

In his remarks, CIS Akuneme said, "I am deeply honoured to receive the prestigious “Offor” (staff of Authority and justice) from the entire Awomamma people in Abuja, in recogniton of my modest contributions and commitment to my people".

The Comptroller said he was humbled by this acknowledgement and reaffirmed his commitment to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of his town.

"Together, we will strive to uphold the values of unity, progress, and service to our people", he enthused.

*IMPROVING SECURITY IN THE FCT, COMPTROLLER FCT COMMAND, NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE, HOLDS STRATEGIC SECURITY MEETING*

Tuesday the 20th of February 2024, saw leaders of the Orlu Zonal Progressive Union, pay a Courtesy visit, to the *Comptroller, FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, CIS Anthony Akuneme.*

The delegation which was led by the President General of the Orlu Zonal Progressive Union, *Engr. Joseph Anunmiri,* were indeed delighted to see one of their own, in the hem of security affairs, playing a significant role in improving security in the Federal Capital Territory and Nigeria at large.

In his remarks the President of the visiting delegation said, Nigeria needs great men like the *Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command,*CIS Anthony Akuneme.*

He prayed for God's divine guidance on the Comptroller and he wished him well in all his endeavors.

He Promised the Comptroller, that the Orlu Progressive Union, will continue to support every developmental project the Comptroller decides to engage in, this he said is in the interest of the progress of our dear country.

In his remarks, the Comptroller FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, said he is delighted to see his people, who took out time from far and wide, to come and visit him.

He promised, to be a good ambassador of the Orlu Zonal Progressive Union, he promised to continue to work hard to provide security to residents of the FCT as a whole, and he promised to continue supporting developmental projects of the Orlu Zonal Progressive Union, this is in essence to improve the livelihood of his people.

*CIS FCT COMMAND INTERACTS WITH OFFICERS AND MEN OF ICT UNIT.*

On Tuesday, 13th of February 2024, *The Comptroller, FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, CIS Anthony Akuneme* had an interactive meeting with Officers and Men of the FCT Command, ICT Unit.

This is in continuation of the CIS interactive meetings with various Sections and Units in the Command.

The Officer In charge of ICT Unit, FCT Command, *Assistant Superintendent, MI Mohammed* gave a brief on the achievement, Goals, Objectives, duties and needs of the Unit.

He appreciated the Comptroller FCT Command, for the great work the Comptroller has been doing in the Command, his constant motivation, selflessness, towards all Officers and Men of the Command, He prayed for God's Guidance and favour on the Comptroller.

Some of the unit personnel, thanked the Comptroller FCT Command for the good work he has been doing since he came, to the command.

In his Remarks, *The Comptroller FCT Command, CIS Anthony Akuneme* promised to support the ICT Unit with a new fan and Computers to make their work easier.

He commended the Officers and Men of the ICT Unit for their hard work, loyalty, resilience and dedication to duty, he motivated and urged them to keep doing their best, while promising to support the unit in every way possible.

On Friday, 9th of February 2024, *The Comptroller, FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, *CIS Anthony Akuneme* had an interactive meeting with Officers and Men of the FCT Command, REGISTRY UNIT.

This is in continuation of the CIS interactive meetings with various Sections and Units in the Command.

The Officer In charge of Registry Unit, FCT Command, *Assistant Comptroller, Ajibewa Oluremi* gave a brief on the achievement, Goals, Objectives, and needs of the Unit.

She appreciated the Comptroller FCT Command, for the great work the Comptroller has been doing in the command, his kindness and constant motivation towards all Officers and Men of the Command, She prayed for God's continuous blessings, Guidance and favour on the Comptroller.

Some of the unit members thanked the Comptroller FCT Command for the good work he has been doing since he came to the command.

In his Remarks, *The Comptroller FCT Command, *CIS Anthony Akuneme* said that the Registry Unit, plays a vital role in the Command.

The Comptroller promised to support the Unit with logistics, a new cabinet and a ladder, to help them deliver on their mandate.

He commended the Officers and Men of the Registry Unit for their hard work, loyalty, resilience and dedication to duty, he motivated and urged them to keep up the good work.

*AFRICAN OH FOOTBALL CLUB, PAY COURTESY VISIT TO COMPTROLLER OF IMMIGRATION SERVICE FCT COMMAND.*

The 15th of February 2024, saw a delegation from the African OH Football Club, based in Abia State embark on a significant journey beyond the confines of the pitch.

Led by the President of the club, they paid a courtesy visit to *CIS Anthony Akuneme,* the Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, at the Command Headquarters in Gwagwalada.

The President expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Comptroller for his unwavering support, towards the club's endeavours.

The President said their purpose of coming extended beyond gratitude, they came bearing news of a forthcoming competition in distant Belarus, a venture, that transcended borders and united aspirations under the banner of football.

In his response, the Comptroller, a staunch advocate for youth empowerment, underscored the importance of nurturing talent and fostering camaraderie through sports.

His words resonated deeply within the delegation, echoing the sentiment that football serves as a conduit for unity and growth within Nigeria's vibrant tapestry.

The Comptroller wished the Delegation well and prayed that God Almighty makes the Competition Successful.

*IMPROVING SECURITY IN THE FCT, COMPTROLLER FCT COMMAND, NIGERIA IMMIGRATION SERVICE, PAY COURTESY VISIT TO AMAC LG CHAIRMAN*

On Thursday, 23rd Febuary 2024, the *Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, *CIS Anthony Akuneme* paid a courtesy visit to the *Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council. (AMAC)*
*Hon Christopher Maikalangu.*

The visit was to improve on the existing Synergy, between the Immigration Service in the FCT and the Abuja Municipal Area Council.

In his opening Remark, the Comptroller FCT Command, NIS said their is need for synergy, partnership and Collaboration that will favor, the AMAC Area Council and Immigration respectively.

This is in essence to improve the overall Security Situation in the FCT.

In his Remarks The AMAC Chairman, said he will support the Immigration Service in the FCT with whatever it takes, to meet the demand of Revenue generation & Improved Security within the FCT.

He Promised to Provide Logistics & Accomodations for the Command.

The Comptroller FCT also used the occasion to begin Working visit of the 6 Area Councils in the FCT to interact with the Officers and Men as well as meet with the Area Council Chairmen, starting with Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC.

He used the occasion to donate a giant signboard to the NIS personnel in response to their earlier request as the only agency in the Council without a sign board.

The Comptroller also presented Gifts to Outstanding Officers and Men.

On Thursday, 8th of February 2024, *The Comptroller, FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service, *CIS Anthony Akuneme* had an interactive meeting with Officers and Men of the FCT Command, African Affairs Unit.

This is in continuation of the CIS interactive meetings with various Sections and Units in the Command.

The Officer in Charge of African Affairs, FCT Command *Deputy Comptroller, B Chukwu* gave a brief on the achievements, Goals, Objectives and the needs of the Unit.

She appreciated the Comptroller FCT Command, for the great work the Comptroller has been doing in the command, his kindness and constant motivation towards all Officers and Men of the Command, She prayed for God's continuous blessings, Guidance and favour on the Comptroller.

In his Remarks, *The Comptroller FCT Command, Nigeria Immigration Service *CIS Anthony Akuneme* said that the African Affairs Unit, plays a pivotal role in documenting and monitoring migrants who are of African descent living within the Federal Capital Territory.

The Comptroller promised to continue to provide logistics and motivate the African Affairs Unit in every way possible so as to help them deliver on their mandate.

He commended the Officers and Men of the African Affairs Unit for their hard work, loyalty, resilience and dedication to duty, he motivated and urged them to keep up the good work.
