World Environment Day 2026: Partnering for a Greener Future 🌍 🌱:

Action speaks louder than words! 🇨🇭 To mark , the Deputy Ambassador Siamak Rouhani, joined volunteers on the ground, last Friday, to support the Abuja leg of Nestlé Nigeria’s nationwide community sensitization and clean-up initiative. 🧹

By rolling up his sleeves to help clean the streets of the Utako Community in Abuja, the Deputy Ambassador highlighted Switzerland's ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and local community engagement.

True sustainability requires collective action. Great things happen when diplomacy, the private sector, and local citizens come together for the environment. A huge thank you to Nestlé Nigeria and the vibrant Utako community for such a successful collaboration! 🙌💼

Securing peace ahead of the polls 🇳🇬:

Ahead of the Ekiti State gubernatorial elections, the Embassy of Switzerland witnessed the official signing of the Peace Accord, convened by the National Peace Committee (NPC) yesterday in Ekiti State. 🗳️✍️ This pivotal event united political parties, the INEC Chairman, the Inspector General of Police, NPC leadership under General Mathew Luther Agwai, and the international community under one shared goal: a peaceful election.🤝🌍

Since 2014, Switzerland has partnered with the NPC to foster peaceful electoral processes in Nigeria through the signing of Peace Accords.

🇨🇭⏳ Speaking at the event, our Senior Political Advisor, Florent Geel, emphasized the importance of upholding the accord and called for active commitment to its provisions, while encouraging peaceful and inclusive political participation, particularly among young people. 📣🧑‍🤝‍🧑

We stand with Nigeria in its journey towards peaceful, credible, and inclusive democratic processes in Nigeria. 🇳🇬🌟
