REP. UKPONG-UDO EXTENDS CONDOLENCE, BUSINESS SUPPORT TO CONSTITUENTS IN IKONO/INI
The Member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong-udo, PhD, has continued his grassroots outreach and compassionate support to constituents through condolence visits and interventions across Ikono and Ini Local Government Areas.
Represented by his Legislative Aide, Engr. Donald Bassey, the lawmaker, on Friday, 22nd May 2026, visited the family of Late Apostle Sunday Akpan Udoh, popularly known as “Teacher Ukang,” at Usung Editaha, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, Ward 3, Ikono LGA. During the visit, compassionate support was presented to the bereaved family ahead of the burial scheduled for 30th May 2026.
The delegation also visited the family of Late Mkpisong Engr. Solomon S. Jessey, JP, of Ikpe Ikot Nkon, Ward 2, Ini LGA, where another support was presented to assist the family as preparations continue for his burial ceremony, also slated for 30th May 2026.
Speaking during the visits, Engr. Donald Bassey conveyed Rep. Ukpong-udo’s heartfelt condolences to the families, praying for strength, comfort, and divine grace for them during the difficult period. He described the deceased as respected figures whose lives positively impacted their communities and humanity.
In further demonstration of his commitment to economic empowerment and grassroots development, Rep. Ukpong-udo also approved and presented a business support grant to Mr Silas Edet Ukpong of Mbiabong Ukan Ikot Etefia, Ward 4, Ikono LGA, to strengthen and expand his business enterprise.
Beneficiaries and community members expressed profound appreciation to the federal lawmaker for what they described as his consistent compassion, accessibility, and unwavering support for the people of Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency.
The interventions form part of Rep. Ukpong-udo’s people-oriented programmes aimed at providing relief, empowerment, and sustainable support to constituents across the federal constituency.
