These disturbing report and video showing the heartbreaking condition of schools in Ohuru-Ndoki, in Ukwa East LGA of Abia State.

Children are being forced to learn in classrooms without roofs, desks, windows, or even proper floors. In some cases, pupils sit on bare ground while teachers struggle to teach under dilapidated structures or even outside. These are not just poor learning conditions — they are conditions that threaten the future of our children.

Education is the bedrock of every progressive society. When our schools collapse, the future of our communities collapses with them.

Respectfully call on the Chairman of , , and the Executive Governor of Abia State, Alex C. Otti, to urgently intervene and restore dignity to education in Ohuru-Ndoki.

Our children deserve:

* Safe and functional classrooms
* Desks and learning materials
* Proper school infrastructure
* An environment that inspires learning and growth

A government that invests in education invests in the future of its people. The children of Ohuru-Ndoki should not be left behind.

This is not about politics — it is about our children, our future, and the dignity of our community.

The condition of the Ohuru-Ndoki – Obohia Road leading to Aba in Ukwa East LGA is becoming a serious concern to the people of our communities. As seen in the video report circulating and the earlier post shared months ago, the road is gradually deteriorating again and may become completely impassable once the rains begin.

This road is not just a village road. It is a strategic economic link connecting Ukwa East, Ugwunagbo and Aba, serving farmers, traders, students and commuters every single day.

Over the years, several interventions and promises have been made on this road, and the people of Ndoki sincerely appreciate the efforts already taken by the government. We also acknowledge that the Abia State Government has stated its commitment to completing ongoing road projects and ensuring they are not abandoned.

However, the current state of the road demands urgent attention, especially now that the rainy season is fast approaching.

We therefore respectfully call on:

*The Chairman of Ukwa East LGA
* The Abia State Ministry of Works
* And His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti

to urgently intervene by deploying equipment for immediate grading, drainage clearing, or palliative repairs to make the road motorable before heavy rains set in.

If nothing is done quickly, the rains may completely cut off communities along this route, affecting movement, commerce, agriculture, and access to Aba.

Ndoki people are peaceful and patient, but this road is too important to be ignored.

This is a humble appeal for urgent intervention now, not after the rains have worsened the situation.

Let us act before it becomes another emergency.

We must start creating real awareness and breaking down the recall process in a way that the average citizen can clearly understand.

This is URGENT—Speak loudly on it, drive the conversation deliberately and consistently.
We cannot keep repeating “we will vote them out” as if elections are the only tool we have. Recall exists for a reason, and it can be activated just after a couple of months—not after four wasted years.

Four years is too long to wait for accountability from a SERVANT (public) we sent on a collective errand.
If they fail, they must be recalled.
Accountability must be immediate, not postponed!

New General Hospital for Ndoki (Ukwa East)

Governor Alex Otti confirmed during his monthly media chat with journalists at Government House, Umuahia, that his administration is constructing a new General Hospital for Ndoki Land in Ukwa East LGA of Abia State.

The decision to build the hospital came after the administration found that there was no general hospital in the entire Ukwa East area. This was highlighted during a related event where political stakeholders visited the governor.

The originally identified site for the hospital was deemed too small, which delayed the project. However, an indigene of Ndoki—Chibuzor Gift Chinyere (General Overseer and founder of Omega Power Ministries-OPM) —donated a larger parcel of land for the facility. The site has since been handed over to the contractor.

Work on the project is expected to begin imminently (with the contractor starting shortly, as stated by Otti) and is to include a state-of-the-art general hospital for the local people.

Governor Otti has set an end-of-year deadline for delivery of the hospital, underscoring his administration’s intention to start and complete the project within 2026.

It was mentioned that the official flag-off (groundbreaking) ceremony for the hospital construction would likely coincide with another planned visit to Ukwa East, linking the health project with broader local engagements.
