*FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, OGUN STATE COMMAND TAKES SENSITIZATION TO NIGERIAN NAVY SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR DAY 4 OF THE NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY WEEK*

The Federal Fire Service, Ogun State Command, under the leadership of the State Controller, DCF Aderibigbe T.A. on Thursday, 20th November 2025, embarked on a Fire Safety sensitization to NNSS, Onikoko Ibara, Abeokuta Ogun State as part of the 2025 National Fire Safety week.

The activities was led by ACF Ilesanmi Paul, Head of Operations accompanied by the Command’s Public Relations Team and some officers/men of the Federal Fire Service, Ogun Command

During the session, ACF Ilesanmi Paul highlighted the common causes and effects of fire and outlined practical preventive measures and early response techniques. He emphasized the importance of safety consciousness and the need for collective effort in protecting lives and properties.

He further stressed the need for every staff and students to adopt proactive safety measures and maintain functional fire equipment at all times. He reiterated that safety is a shared responsibility requiring continuous awareness and preparedness.

The exercise concluded with a practical demonstration on how to safely extinguish fires at their early stages using fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and other safety equipment in homes, workplaces and public spaces.

Goodwill message was delivered by the Assistant Commandant of the Nigeria Navy Secondary School,OC ONAH He appreciated the Federal Fire Service Ogun State command for bringing the safety awareness to their premises in preparedness for any emergencies.

*FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, OGUN STATE COMMAND TAKES SENSITIZATION RALLY TO OMIDA MARKET ON DAY 3 OF THE NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY WEEK*

The Federal Fire Service, Ogun State Command, under the leadership of the State Controller, DCF Aderibigbe T.A. on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, embarked on a rally spree to Omida Market, Abeokuta Ogun State to sensitize the market women and men on Building a Culture of Fire Safety across their markets and homes.

The activities was led by DSF Adegoke Adeoye accompanied by the Command’s Public Relations Team and officers/men of the Ogun State Federal Fire Service.

During the session, DSF Adegoke educated the traders on essential fire safety measures, highlighted common causes of fire outbreaks in market settings and demonstrated practical steps to prevent fire emergencies.

The traders were also given opportunities to use the safety gadgets as demonstrated to them during the session.

Goodwill message was delivered by the Babaloja. He appreciated the Federal Fire Service Ogun State command and pledged on behalf of the traders to adhere to all safety measures shared with them.

FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, OGUN STATE COMMAND SENSITIZES OGUN TECH HUB ON FIRE SAFETY, PREVENTION AND PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION FOR DAY 2 OF THE NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY WEEK

The Federal Fire Service, Ogun State Command, under the leadership of the State Controller, DCF Aderibigbe T.A. on Tuesday, 18th November 2025, embarked on a fire safety sensitization visit to Ogun Tech Hub along Lagos-Abeokuta way, Buhari Estate,Ogun State. The visit formed part of the Command’s continuous fire safety awareness and sensitization programme for the NFSW.

The team, led by CSF Nelson, Head of IIE and accompanied by some selected Officers of the Command delivered an engaging session on fire safety, prevention and practical demonstration.

During the session, CSF Nelson highlighted the common causes and effects of fire and outlined practical preventive measures and early response techniques. He emphasized the importance of safety consciousness and the need for collective effort in protecting lives and property.

He stressed the need for every organization and individual to adopt proactive safety measures and maintain functional fire equipment at all times. He reiterated that safety is a shared responsibility requiring continuous awareness and preparedness.

Goodwill message was delivered by the representative of the Head of the Hub, who appreciated the Federal Fire Service for bringing the training to them most especially during this peak period.

The exercise concluded with a practical demonstration on how to safely extinguish fires at their early stages using fire extinguishers, fire blankets, and other safety equipment in homes, workplaces, and public spaces.

*FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE, OGUN STATE COMMAND FLAGS OFF THE 2025 NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY WEEK WITH PUBLIC LECTURE*

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) Ogun State Command officially flagged off the 2025 National Fire Safety Week with a public lecture held at the Federal Secretariat Oke Mosan, Abeokuta. The event marked the beginning of activities aimed at strengthening fire safety awareness and sensitising the public across the state.
In his welcome address,the State Controller DCF Aderibigbe Tolulope Adeniyi appreciated the kind gesture of the invited guests and highlighted the importance of taking responsibility when it comes to fire safety,he emphasised the need for building a culture of fire safety and not it's not my portion.

The program was attended by representatives of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the representative of the Comptroller of Immigration, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence, Nigeria Correctional Service,Rtd Air Commodore Odunayo who represented the Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University and other important guests

The public lecture focused on the theme of the 2025 National Fire Safety Week: “Building a Culture of Fire Safety Across Nigeria — Overcoming the ‘Not My Portion’ Mentality.” was handled by ACF Babalola OA,he explained the need for individual, organisation and coperation to take safety serious and leave it for God .

Goodwill messages were delivered by invited guests, who commended the effort of the Command for its proactive approach to safeguarding and promoting community Safety.

COMPTROLLER OF IMMIGRATION, OGUN STATE COMMAND VISITS FFS OGUN COMMAND

The newly appointed Comptroller of Immigration, Ogun State, CIS Olufunke Yetunde Odusote, paid a working visit to the Federal Fire Service, Ogun State Command, on Wednesday, 24th September, 2025.

She was warmly received by the State Controller, ACF Olojo A.O., who expressed his appreciation to the Comptroller for deeming it necessary to visit him, as well as the officers and men of the command, despite her tight schedule.

CIS Olufunke Odusote expressed her gratitude for the warm reception by the officers and men of the Federal Fire Service. In her brief remarks, she emphasized the importance of broad training for officers and men on fire safety and emergency response. She further proposed a partnership on how both agencies can work hand in hand to achieve greater heights.

ACF Olojo appreciated the Comptroller for the visit and responded positively to her proposed training initiatives and the sacrifices involved. He also stated that an inspection should be carried out at the Immigration Office to determine the level of their preparedness and safety measures put in place.

Thereafter, there was an exchange of plaques and photographs were taken.

FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE OGUN STATE COMMAND CONDUCTS FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS LECTURE FOR POLICE OFFICERS IN OGUN STATE

The Federal Fire Service, Ogun State Command, under the leadership of DCF Olojo A.O., State Controller, today, 29th August 2025, conducted a comprehensive Fire Safety Awareness Lecture at the Police Officers’ Mess, Abeokuta.

The sensitization lecture and practical fire drill were led by a team headed by ACF Ilesanmi Paul. The programme was designed to educate senior police officers on essential fire prevention techniques, emergency response strategies, and safety measures aimed at reducing the risk of fire outbreaks.

The lecture highlighted practical steps for managing fire emergencies, the importance of adhering to safety regulations, and the collective responsibility of ensuring a safer environment for all.

The Federal Fire Service, Ogun State Command, remains committed to safeguarding lives and property through continuous public enlightenment and proactive engagement across the state.
