Today, we gather with immense pride and joy to celebrate a momentous occasion in the history of our great nation, Nigeria. On this 1st day of October, 2023, we commemorate the 63rd anniversary of our independence, a day that signifies our resilience, unity, and commitment to progress.

In the past years, we have faced numerous trials as a nation, including economic challenges, security concerns, and health crises. However, it is in times of adversity that our resilience shines brightest, and Ewekoro Local Government has made significant strides in education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment, creating an environment where every resident can thrive.

As we celebrate our Independence Day today, we also reflect on the responsibilities that come with our freedom, as each one of us plays a crucial role in the development and progress of our local government, state, and nation. Therefore, let us promote peace, harmony, and inclusivity within our communities, and let us uphold the principles of justice, equality, and democracy.
