```*STATE GOVERNMENT APPEALS FOR SUPPORTS OF FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE STATE FOR HER DEVELOPMENT.*```

Ebonyi State Government has appealed to Financial Institutions in the state to assist her secure grants for the development of the people.
The State Commissioner for Grants and Donor Agencies, Chief Solomon Azi made the appeal in a meeting with Banks managers in Abakaliki.
Chief Solomon Azi who stressed that the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is real and ready to make life better for the people of the state through his People's Charter of Needs mantra charged the banks heads to be proactive and work in liaison with Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies to attract grants for the State.
Chief Azi said the Governor means business in attending to the needs of the people of the state, called for combined efforts of banks and the go to develop the state assuring the banks that the government would implement any grants attracted through them.
Responding, some representatives of the including Mr. Philip Ofim of United Bank for Africa, Mrs. Chioma Edunanya of Sterling Bank, and Mr. Darlington Ekweghiariri of Zenith Bank thanked the State Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru for give Banks in the state business friendly environment and assured that they would join forces with the Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies to ensure total development of the State while Mr. Chukwubuzo Nwobu of Union Bank Plc appealed for more patronage from the state.
The Director of Finance and Account, Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies, Mr. David Elom thanked the Banks for their understanding with the government through the Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies and prayed for sustainance of such for the overall good of the people of the state.
The meeting attracted Heads of banks in the state.
