USEFUL IPHONE TIPS

If your Apple Phone (iPhone) says "Storage almost Full" and you can't take photos or update apps, let alone download new ones, do any of this now and thank me later;

1. Attack the hidden "Other" storage eating gigabytes:
- Go to Settings β†’ General β†’ iPhone Storage
- Wait for it to fully load, then:
- Tap Safari β†’ Clear History and Website Data.
- Go to Messages β†’ Review Large Attachments β†’ Delete videos/GIFs.
- Restart your iPhone (clears temporary cache).
Invisible junks can use up 5-10GB. You'll be shocked by what disappears.

2. Offload unused apps without losing data:
- Go to Settings β†’ General β†’ iPhone Storage.
- Scroll down and tap any app you rarely use.
- Choose "Offload App" (NOT Delete).
The app removes itself, but your data stays. When you reinstall, everything returns intact.

Auto-offload trick:
Settings β†’ App Store β†’ Offload Unused Apps β†’ ON
(It works automatically while you sleep.)

3. Turn on iCloud Photo optimization:
Settings β†’ [Your Name] β†’ iCloud β†’ Photos
Enable both:
- iCloud Photos
- Optimize iPhone Storage

Store full original photos live in iCloud, while your iPhone stores compressed versions. You see everything. Your phone breathes.
(Most people skip this and wonder why photos take up to 30GB.)

4. Delete massive iMessage attachments:
- Go to Settings β†’ General β†’ iPhone Storage β†’ Messages
- Tap "Review Large Attachments"
- Delete:
- Old group chat videos
- Memes from 6 months ago
- Voice messages you never replayed

Bonus: Set auto-delete:
- Go to Settings β†’ Messages β†’ Keep Messages β†’ 1 Year
iMessage is the silent storage killer.

5. Clear app cache the right way:
Apps hoard cache that never clears automatically.
Method 1: Clear inside the app:
- Instagram: Settings β†’ Account β†’ Clear Cache
- TikTok: Profile β†’ Settings β†’ Free up space
- WhatsApp: Settings β†’ Storage β†’ Manage Storage
Method 2: Delete and reinstall:
Your login and data stay if it's cloud-synced.
Frees 1-3GB per app instantly.

6. Merge duplicate photos automatically:
- Photos β†’ Albums β†’ Utilities β†’ Duplicates
- Tap "Merge" on each pair.
It keeps the highest quality version and tosses the rest. Burst photos and accidental screenshots pile up fast. (One cleanup session = gigabytes back.)

7. Stop WhatsApp from auto-downloading everything:
- Go to WhatsApp β†’ Settings β†’ Storage and Data β†’ Media Auto-Download.
Turn OFF:
- Photos (for Groups)
- Videos (everywhere)
- Documents (everywhere)

Download only what you need manually. Group chats alone can devour 10GB if left unchecked.

Your storage stays clean forever.

Your iPhone runs faster. You can finally update to the latest version of iOS and enjoy your iPhone to the fullest.
