There will be days you’ll share your foodstuffs with someone who can barely afford a meal. You’ll cross paths with students fighting silent battles, and your kindness, no matter how small, will feel like a lifeline. Whether their “thank you” is whispered from the depth of their heart or just a polite gesture, be grateful that you were able to shine a bit of light on someone else’s darkness.
Because life has a way of returning goodness. One day, that little act of compassion might be the very thing that opens a door for you, an unexpected recommendation, a helping hand, a CV pushed forward, a dream job made possible.
The four walls of a varsity… you won’t understand how precious they are until the day you walk out for the last time. So take pictures. Capture everything. The laughter in the hallways, the tired mornings, the late night reading, even the moments you felt lost. One day, those memories will be the warmest part of your heart.
Make friends, genuine friends. University is not a place to journey alone. Being isolated will drain you without warning. You need people who will stand with you, laugh with you, cry with you, and remind you that you’re more than your struggles. And sometimes, you’ll be that person for someone else.
Because life has a way of returning goodness. One day, that little act of compassion might be the very thing that opens a door for you, an unexpected recommendation, a helping hand, a CV pushed forward, a dream job made possible.
So while you’re in school, live. Learn. Love people. Build memories that will follow you long after you leave. Make the best of it, because these moments will shape you in ways you’ll only understand later. ❤️
