Infirmary ~ Birthing Chamber β
The morning sun seemed to have disappeared, the cloud getting a bit dark and there came soft winds blowing, seems it would rain but not now.
Inside the Birthing Chamber, incense burned to ward off evil, silk curtains drawn tightly, and the air heavy with the scent of medicinal herbs.
Aurora's cries echoed through the chamber, raw and powerful, each one stabbing through the stillness outside.
She gripped the sheets with trembling hands, sweat clinging to her pale face, strands of hair plastered against her temples.
The Head Court Lady (New Lady Dowager), whom she had chosen as a mother figure stood by her side, calm yet firm, her voice steady as she commanded the female physicians and midwives.
" Steady her shoulder, bring the warm cloths, the child is near, she must not falter now"
Aurora gasped, her voice breaking.
" It..it hurt!! Darius!!!..ahh"
The Lady Dowager took her hand, tightening her grip.
" Endure my child, you're the Empress, the heavens have chosen you for this, hold on, just wait a little longer" She calmed.
Meanwhile, outside the pavilion, Darius stood rigid, his gaze fixed sorely on the door, he just wishes to kick it open and see his Empress.
His hands clenched so tightly, the veins bulged at his knuckles.
Evey cry that slipped from Aurora through the door made his heart clench, it tore his heart.
" Why can't i stay by her side?" He muttered, his voice low but burning with anguish.
Rio paced nervously, trying to calm him.
" Your Majesty, if you go in, it wouldn't be proper and also you will be a distraction, the Lady Dowager is with her, nothing will happen to Her Grace" He said to Darius.
Hilda stood silent, worry written over his face, his eyes fixed on the door and also on Darius who's standing in front of him.
Another piercing cry rang out from Aurora and Darius composure cracked, he stepped forward only to be stopped by Rio, Hilda also held his arm from behind.
" Please calm down Your Majesty" Hilda spoke before letting go of his arm.
Rio is still standing in front of him, blocking his way.
" Your Majesty, your child will come, and the Empress will be safe, believe in her, please" Rio pleaded.
Dario stared down and puffed out a soft breath, looking like one who might cry any minute.
Inside the chamber, Aurora's face drenched in pain. The midwives guided her firmly.
" One last push Your Grace, the child is ready, push with all your strength "
Aurora nodded and did as she was told, her scream rose, fierce and unrelenting, before the room was filled with the wailing of a new life.
The Head Midwife lifted the newborn, wrapping him in a white royal silk. The Lady Dowager's face softened as she looked upon the child, her eyes shinning.
" It's done, The Heir of the Empire is Born" She said happily.
" A..a boy?" Aurora asked with a weak raised brows.
" Yes Your Grace" The Head Midwife answered this time.
Damn! She has won Hilda, Darius, Charin and Nora who wanted it to be a Girl (A Heiress).
She has won them along with Rio, Jiang, and Elena who wanted the child to be a Boy (A Heir)
She must be silly by thinking about that right now!
Her hands trembled a bit as she lifted them.
" Let..me see him" Her voice cracked a bit, maybe from all the scream.
Damn! She feels so tired and sleepy right now!
The Baby was gently and respectfully placed on her arm, and despite the exhaustion on her face. She smiled out widely but weakly as the little one's cry softened against her warmth.
The Lady Dowager then took the infant from her when she began to struggle with her sleepiness, she's really tired!
The Lady Dowager handed the newborn to the female Physician to clean up while the midwives cleaned up Aurora, wiped her whole body with sweet scented warm water, dressed her in a new clean white loose robe.
They changed the bedsheet and everything, giving the room the right shape it needed.
After it was done.
The Lady Dowager stepped outside and informed Darius who didn't waste time in rushing in along with Rio and Hilda.
Darius gaze fell upon the cradle where his child lay swaddled, tiny chest rising and falling, but then his footsteps carried him to Aurora.
Aurora stirred faintly, her eyes opening the moment she noticed his present, her lips curved into a soft smile.
" Darius...our child.. it's a boy like I wanted, I... won" She whispered.
Rio laughed out softly and happily hugging onto Hilda's arm while Hilda smiled out.
Darius chuckled wondering if she's serious! He pressed a deep kiss on her forehead with an appreciation loving smile.
" You've done so well Rora and I accept my defeat, you won, thank you so much, rest now, I'm here with you, I won't leave until you're awake" He whispered softly.
He fingers touched his hands and he held onto them, before she slipped loose, sleep claiming the whole of her.
Darius brushed a strand of hair from her forehead, lingering a kiss to her hand.
In that moment, the Emperor was not just a ruler of an Empire, but a Husband and a Father , watching the two most precious lives in his world.

The Southern Kingdom ~ Crown Princess Quarter β
" My Lady"
" My Lady"
Elena looked up from the book she was ready as her Personal Maid rushed in.
" What's wrong?" She asked worriedly almost getting up.
" We just received a letter from a Central Kingdom messenger, I think the Empress have given birth" She said handing over the envelope to Elena.
" Oh my!" Elena squealed and stood up, quickly opening the envelope.

Elena screamed out excitedly hugging her Personal Maid gently cause her bump is almost due, in a month time, she will be having her child.
" I'm so excited" She gushed.
" Me too My Lady"
" Alright, get the presents ready, I will inform the Crown Prince once he's back and we set off to the Central Kingdom tommorow" Elena said.
" Yes My Lady" The Personal Maid happily answered with a bow before rushing off.
Elena sat down in smiles reading the letter again.

The Northern Kingdom ~ Crown Princess Pavilion β
Princess Nora was seated getting her toenails painted while she read her favorite book.
Actually, she wasn't reading but lost in thought.
She rarely eats properly, sleep properly, even smile lately but Jiang and her parents are always there to make it possible for her.
A guard entered and bowed, sh didn't bother to look up.
Her Personal Maid walked over to the guard.
" What's wrong?" She asked.
" Her Highness has a message from the Central Kingdom" He replied.
Nora put the book down when she heard the Central Kingdom.
The Personal Maid took the envelope from him and he bowed before leaving.
" My Lady" She said and handed the envelope to Nora.
Nora opened the note and it was same thing written to Elena.
Tears welled up her eyes, from both happiness and sadness.
She gulped down and touched her flat tummy, shutting her eyes as tears streamed off.
" My Lady" Her Personal Maid called worriedly holding onto her arm, the other maids present bowed.
This won't be the first time they will see Nora this way.
" I..wish to be alone" She mumbled out.
" My Lady...
" Please" She whispered.
Her Personal Maid and the others bowed before leaving.
They met Jiang on the way heading towards the Pavilion and the Personal Maid didn't fail to inform him and he ended up running instead of walking.

He walked into the Pavilion to meet a passed out Nora.
" Nora!!!"
He yelled and rushed over to her, gently pulling her head up, as he shook her.
" Nora"
" Nora"
He took the note from her hand and read the letter.
The Empress has given birth. This must have triggered her sadness again but then he was damn happy at the moment but at same time, his Crown Princess is unconscious.

Minutes Later, at the Infirmary, The Personal maid is in tears as Jiang carried Nora in.
The Physician quickly bowed and get to their work.
" Your highness.. please forgive me, it's my fault for leaving her side" She sobbed out.
" It's not your fault" Jiang said from where he was seated.
His hand holding onto Nora's hand warmly but firmly.
The Physician faced Jiang with a wide smile when he was done carrying out the test needed.
" What's wrong with my Crown Princess?" Jiang asked.
" Your highness, congratulations, Her Highness is with child" The Physician informed.
The Personal Maid squealed out happily and loudly before she could stop herself.
" Are you sure? " Jiang asked, having a disbelief expression.
" Yes Your Highness, I never make a mistake, I made sure to test it twice and the result came out same" The Physician answered with a bow.
" Really" Jiang mumbled softly, small tears brimming in his tears. " Thank you" He said to the Physician who bowed.
" I will go brew some medicine for her, her body seems weak, she have been skipping meals, right Your Highness?" He asked.
The Personal Maid spoke.
" Yes, she haven't been eating properly" She replied.
" Alright, I will take my leave now" The Physician said and left.
" Your highness, I will go ask the kitchen to prepare food for Her Highness" She said to Jiang who nodded, she bowed and left.

An hour later, Nora stirred, her eyes fluttered open.
Jiang who had his eyes shut but still holding onto her hand opened his eyes.
" Nora, you're awake" He asked, letting out a smile.
She turned her head slowly towards him.
" Why do you look like that?" Nora whispered, her voice fragile.
Jiang reached for her cheek and then placed his other hand on her stomach. His touch was steady.
" Nora, You're pregnant"
Her breath caught. For a heartbeat, the words didn't make sense, as if she'd misheard. She blinked at him, confusion, disbelief and a flicker of hope all colliding inside her.
" No.. don't say that to... comfort me.. don't!" Her voice cracked, and tears burned her eyes.
Jiang shook his head firmly, his grip tightening on her hand.
" It's the truth, the physician confirmed I will never lie to you, our child is growing inside you"
Her vision blurred as tears spilled down her cheeks. A son escaped her, raw and arching as she pressed a trembling hand to her lips.
Jiang leaned closer, gathering her carefully into his arms as though she was made of glass. His voice broke against her hair.
" Don't...cry please, it hurts me "
Nora clung to him, her tears soaking his robe, her body shaking with the release of months of sorrow and fear.
Slowly, her sob turned softer, her hand once again resting on her stomach, this time not with despair but with fragile, blossoming hope.
And for the first time in months, Nora allowed herself to smile through her tears.

Evening ~ Central Kingdom β
The evening lights spilled gentle into the Empress Quarter, the chamber was hushed, holding only the quiet crackle of lanterns and the soft, steady sound of the infant nursing at his mother's breast.
Aurora reclined against embroidered cushions, her robe loosened modestly as she cradled her newborn close. The baby's tiny mouth latched at her, drinking eagerly, while one of his small hand curled over the silk of her gown. Her pale face softened with a smile , her eyes never leaving her son.
At her side, The Lady Dowager observed with a watchful calm, her expression gentle.
" He feeds well, this is a blessing, the first milk will make him strong" She said.
Aurora's gaze lifted briefly, her voice low.
" I'm glad he arrived, despite everything that happened, he survived and arrived" She muttered and Darius smiled, touching her cheek.
" You're strong and he's as strong as his Mother" He said and Aurora smiled.
The Lady Dowager's voice came, steady but warm and respectful.
" Your Majesty, The Empress must rest after feeding the Prince, her body is still fragile, I will remain close and tend to her and the child. Fro now, Your Majesty, I urge you to head back to your quarter, you can't spend nights with the Empress until the month is over" The Lady Dowager said.
Darius jaw clenched, a fleeting frustration in his eyes but he did not argue, that's the tradition and also the Palace rules and he knows Aurora's frailty came before anything else.
He reached his hand out to the little one who's folded and let out a wide smile.
" Little Prince, see you in the morning" He said.
His gaze landed on the smiling Aurora and he pressed a kiss on her forehead then her lips.
" I love you, thanks for being so strong today" He said and she smiled, touching his hand.
Darius watched them for a while before exiting the chamber.
" Your Grace, I shall prepare the nursemaids for the night" The Lady Dowager said and Aurora nodded.

Next Morning ~ Emperor's Quarter β
" Be quick" Darius instructed the dressers.
" Yes Your Majesty" The Royal Dressers answered, quickening their pace.
They know the Emperor is in a rush to his Empress and newborn child before heading to Court (conference hall).
Hilda smiled a bit from where he was standing.
" We are done Your...
Darius was already walking off and Hilda followed suit.
The pace was fast .

They waited until the Empress door announcer announced his presence.
He was told to come after some minutes and when he entered, he rushed over to Aurora hugging her.
" Did you miss me that much?" She teased.
" I did, so much, I've gotten used to sleeping by your side, felt so empty, how am I supposed to endure for a month" He pouted like a child and Aurora chuckled along with the Lady Dowager, Hilda also smiled.
" You're the Emperor, don't be a child!" Aurora teased, breaking the hug.
" I don't mind" He replied and got up, going over to the cradle.
He smiled at the little human who's laying quietly.
" Why would you come here? You should be heading over to the conference hall, don't keep your Ministers waiting" Aurora scolded.
" Let me stay a little bit longer" He replied and gently swing the little hand of his son, letting out a happy smile.
Rio entered the chamber that moment with three cooks.
" Your Grace..huh! Your Majesty" Rio greeted.
" Hi Rio" Darius replied happily still swinging the little child's hand gently and softly.
" It's time to have breakfast, these are dishes made with herbs to help you recover back your strength" The Lady Dowager told her and Aurora's eyes gazed through the plates.
" Why's there no much meat?" She asked and chuckles were heard.
" Your Grace, No too much meat for now, you have to eat the dishes prepared for you" The Lady Dowager replied her.
" So annoying" Aurora gritted picking up her spoon.
Darius walked over to her and sat beside her.
" You will get to eat your favorites soon, a lot of meat will be grilled specially for you" He said.
" A lot" Aurora replied and Darius nodded.
" Your Majesty, It's the Head Eu**ch, The Ministers have all assembled" The Head Eu**ch informed from outside the Chamber.
" We have to go Your Majesty" Hilda said.
" Go" Aurora added.
Rio touched Hilda's hand and the two smiled at each other.
" See you later" Darius told Aurora and kissed her.

Conference Hall β
The Prime Minister (Formal Head of the Blue Ministers) stood up and stepped out before bowing.
" On behalf of the Court, we extend our deepest congratulations to Your Majesty on the birth of the Imperial Heir . May the young Prince grow in Wisdom and Strength, and may the Empress recover swiftly, we beg Your Majesty to deliver our greetings to her"
Darius inclined his head, his voice measured but warm.
" Your loyalty and blessings will be conveyed to the Empress. She had endured much, both the Mother and child are safe"
A ripple of relief passed through the hall. The Ministers bowed again, offering murmured prayers of Prosperity.
Just then, the sound of drum came and an announcement came from the door.
" Your Majesty, The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of the Southern Kingdom has arrived"
" Quick let them in" Darius answered and the door opened that moment.
Charin and Elena entered that moment, their aids waiting outside, Elena holding onto the box, as she refused to let Charin carry it, the Ministers bowed to them in respect.
They reached the stairs and bowed to Darius.
" Accept our bows Your Majesty" The two Chorused.
" Thank you so much for coming" Darius said to them as the newly appointed Head Court Lady rushed and respectfully took the box from Elena.
Almost that minute, the drum sounded and the announcement came.
" Your Majesty, The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of the Northern Kingdom are here "
" Let them in immediately"
The door opened and Jiang stepped in with Nora, he's the one carrying the box. The Ministers bowed in respect.
They got to Darius and bowed.
" Congratulations Your Majesty" They Chroused.
The Head Court Lady respectfully took the box from Jiang.
" Thanks for coming" Darius spoke.
" Can we go visit the Empress" Nora quickly asked.
" Sure"
She took Elena's hand, both rushing off gently cause of Elena's due baby bump.
Chuckles followed the moment they left, Jiang and Charin shared a side brotherly hug.
" How have you been Prime Minister?" Charin asked and the the man smiled.
" I have been well Your Highness, it seems like the Crown Princess will be putting to bed soon" He replied and Charin nodded happily.
" In just three weeks I guess" Charin said and smiles cake from everywhere.
" And I have to announce to everyone that My Crown Princess is with child" Jiang said.
" Wow! Really!" Charin said forgetting where they are as he gave Jiang a playful tummy punch.
The laughs from the Ministers made he pause his lips in embarrassment as Jiang laughed along with Darius.

" He's so adorable" Elena sobbed holding onto the little one gently.
" I'm so happy" Aurora said touching Nora's tummy as they shared another hug.
" Your Grace, you did well, he looks like just the Emperor" Elena replied and they chuckled.
" When I birth another, I want him or her to look exactly like me, I'm already annoyed that he looks like Darius, I'm the one who suffered, why would he look like Darius" Aurora smacked and they laughed out along with the Lady Dowager.
" Crown Princesses, Dishes will be here soon" She said to them.
" Thank you Mother" The two appreciated at same time.
" You will be having yours in just a little time, remember no stress from now on" The Lady Dowager instructed Elena who nodded.
" Yes Mother"
" And Princess Nora, I don't have to advise you on what to do, it's an early pregnancy, you need a lot of rest" The Lady Dowager instructed.
" Yes Mother"

Time Skip ~ Four Weeks Later ~ Southern Kingdom ~ Birthing Chamber β
The chamber filled with the scent of medicinal herbs.
Elena clutched tightly to the sheets, sweat glistening on her face as she endured the pain of labor.
At her side, Charin stood holding onto her hand in tears, he can't imagine the pain she in and it's making him sob.
" I'm.. sorry Lena... you're strong, just a little more" He said in tears.
Elena would have laughed at his face now but nah! Not now!
Moments later, the room was filled with the sharp cry of a newborn. Relief washed over Elena's face as more joyful tears slipped from Charin's eyes.
Before he could step closer to touch the child, the midwife holding onto the child bowed respectfully.
" Your Highness, congratulations, the Heiress is safe but now, the Crown Princess needs to be cleaned, we asked that you step out for a while, please"
Charin nodded then touched Elena's hand.
" I will wait " He said to her then faced the midwife." I leave her in your care"
He gazed at Elena and at his newborn princess before leaving.
The moment he left, the Queen entered the chamber with a calm authority, she moved immediately to Elena.
" My daughter, you've done so well" She whispered.
" Your Grace, it's a Heiress"
" A princess! The heavens answered my prayer! I don't want a young prince yet because they will behave silly like Charin" The Queen spoke and chuckles came, Elena let out a soft, weak chuckle.
She's always making jokes all the time.
" Let me see my little Princess" She said.
" Here, Your Grace"

Meanwhile, outside the King arrived smiling hard.
" It's a Princess Father"
" Really? Elena has done well, I was really worried" The King smiled and Charin smiled too.
" I'm more than excited" He gushed and the King watched him with a smile.

The Northern Kingdom β
Nora happily touched her tummy while she reads a book about infants.
Her Personal Maid and other maids smiling hard.
It's been Months since they saw her smile this way and it's really heartwarming.
That moment Jiang entered and they bowed.
" Husband" She called happily and Jiang smiled squatting to kiss her tummy.
She pouted.
" Kiss me too" She said and he chuckled, leaned up to kiss her lips.
" Here's a letter from the Southern Kingdom, Elena just put to bed"
" Wow!! Really?"
" Yes"
" I'm so happy" She gushed and Jiang smiled watching her.

The Central Kingdom β
Aurora stood with folded hands glaring at Darius who's holding their month old son gently.
" Are you serious right now?" She scolded. " Go to the court and don't keep the Ministers waiting" She added.
" I dismissing today's court" He said.
" What? You did what?
" I want to spend the whole day with you and with our child, you've been pushing me away " Darius replied.
"You!!" Aurora seethed and grabbed one of the pillow.
" Don't! I'm holding our child!" Darius quickly said and Aurora dropped the pillow then walked over to him, taking the baby from him and gently laying him on the bed.
After that, she picked up the pillow and he ran to the other side, she caught him and grabbed his collar, slamming him with the pillow.
" Why would an Emperor cancel a court!! You crazy Emperor!!" She scolded slamming him with the pillow.
" Spare me Empress"
Rio and Hilda stood watching and chuckling, Rio walked over to the bed, touching the little one's cheek.
" Your parents are so dramatic, are they not?" He whispered to the little one who swinged his legs and hands together, blinking his eyes, moving his milky tongue like a restless soul.
A knock came that moment and the Lady Dowager entered.
" Mother, save me" Darius said.
She heaved a breath when she saw a pillow on Aurora's hand and her hand on Darius robe collar.
" So tired of you two" She said and they chuckled, Aurora leaving his collar.
" Mother, it's his fault, he cancelled the court without a reason"
" No Mother, I did that to be with her and our child"
" You two! Anyway, I brought a letter, Elena has given birth to a Heiress"
" Yehhhhhh!
The scream from Aurora startled the little one who began to cry.
" I pity the little one, he has a dramatic crazy mother" Rio mumbled to the child.
" Don't scare the child Rora" The Lady Dowager scolded softly.
" Mother, I'm the only one who calls her that way"
" Silly you two"

Three Years Later ~ Central Kingdom β
The Crown Prince of the Central Kingdom ( Aurora and Darius son) Crown Prince Aurelius is seated on the head seat.
His name * Aurelius * means * Golden *
On his left, The Princess of the Southern Kingdom ( Charin and Elena's daughter) Princess Seraphina is seated.
Her name * Seraphina * means * Burning one *
The two are three years old.
Then on his left, The two years old Prince of the Northern Kingdom ( Jiang and Nora's Son) Prince Damien is seated.
His name * Damien * means * To Tame *
The three are all eating snacks separately since their parents are having discussions separately at the Emperor's Pavilion.
They're on the Crown Prince pavilion.
The three years old Crown Prince, Aurelius gazed at Princess Seraphina.
" Your Mother is so calm, you're so lucky" He said.
The three years old Princess Seraphina looked up.
" Why do you say so?" She asked.
" Your Mother, Princess Elena is so calm and quiet, My own Mother is always so noisy, crazy and dramatic, she's a lot of work" Crown Prince Aurelius spoke and the Princess smiled.
" I think I love your Mother more, The Empress is so fun to be with, unlike my mother who's calm, you're the lucky one" She said.
" You just don't understand" The Crown Prince said. " But then, I'm older than you" He said.
The Princess scoffed.
" You're older with just a month, we are same age" She replied.
" I'm going to be the future Emperor" He said.
" And I'm going to be the future Queen of our Kingdom" She replied.
" Me too, I'm going to be the king"
" You're still a child, keep quiet when adults are talking" The Crown Prince said to the Two years old Prince.
" You two are just a year older, I'm not a child" He mumbled.
Almost Immediately the door opened.
" Hi kids"
Aurora's playful voice came.
" Oh no! She's here!" The Crown Prince mumbled.
