EMBAIXADA DA IRLANDA ASSINALA COM ORGULHO O DIA INTERNACIONAL CONTRA A HOMOFOBIA, BIFOBIA E TRANSFOBIA EM MAPUTO
A Embaixada da Irlanda, representada pelo Chefe de Missão Patrick Empey, participou na celebração do IDAHOBIT em Maputo. O evento, marcado pelo hasteamento da bandeira arco-íris, colocou no centro do debate a resiliência e o trabalho incansável das organizações LGBTQIA+ moçambicanas na liderança da agenda de direitos humanos.

Por parte do Estado moçambicano, o Secretário Permanente do Ministério da Justiça, Assuntos Constitucionais e Religiosos, Tuarique Abdala, acolheu as aspirações do movimento e reconheceu o evento como um espaço vital para a reafirmação dos compromissos de inclusão e de igualdade do país.

Como aliada desta causa, a Embaixada da Irlanda reiterou o seu compromisso em caminhar lado a lado com a sociedade civil na superação dos desafios estruturais e fortalecimento do diálogo colectivo.

EMBASSY OF IRELAND PROUDLY MARKS THE INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST HOMOPHOBIA, BIPHOBIA, AND TRANSPHOBIA IN MAPUTO

The Embassy of Ireland, represented by Head of Mission Patrick Empey, participated in the IDAHOBIT celebration in Maputo. Marked by the raising of the rainbow flag, the event placed the resilience and tireless work of Mozambican LGBTQIA+ organizations at the center of the debate on leading the human rights agenda.

On behalf of the Mozambican State, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Tuarique Abdala, welcomed the movement's aspirations and recognized the event as a vital space for reaffirming the country's commitments of equality and inclusion.

As an ally in this cause, the Embassy of Ireland reiterated its commitment to walking side-by-side with civil society to overcome structural challenges and strengthening collective dialogue.

A Irlanda🇮🇪 assinou um Memorando de Entendimento tripartido com o Conselho Executivo Provincial de Niassa e o Conselho de Serviços de Representação do Estado, no âmbito do II Fórum de Investimentos de Niassa, realizado sob o lema “Agricultura e Agro-processamento”. O acordo reforça uma parceria de longa data, com 30 anos de cooperação contínua na província.

Em 2026, esta colaboração será reforçada com um financiamento de €900 mil, destinado a apoiar sectores prioritários como educação, saúde, infraestruturas e boa governação, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento sustentável de Niassa.

Ireland🇮🇪 signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding with the Niassa Provincial Executive Council and the State Representation Services Council during the II Niassa Investment Forum, held under the theme “Agriculture and Agro-processing.” The agreement strengthens a long-standing partnership that has supported development in the province for 30 years.

In 2026, this cooperation will be reinforced with €900,000 in funding to support key sectors including education, health, infrastructure, and good governance, contributing to sustainable development in Niassa.
