We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 18 outstanding Malawian students awarded the prestigious 2026 KNB Scholarship, administered annually by the Government of Indonesia, providing life-changing opportunities for students across the globe.
This year marks an exceptional achievement for Malawi, as we are proudly recognised as the joint highest-awarded country alongside Nigeria—a remarkable testament to the talent, dedication, and academic excellence of Malawian students.
This success builds on strong recent progress. In 2025, Malawi was ranked the 5th most awarded country globally, securing 13 scholarships, reflecting steady growth and increasing recognition on the international stage.
These educational opportunities are a key part of the broader bilateral cooperation between Malawi and Indonesia. Beyond scholarships, this partnership spans multiple sectors where the Government of Indonesia continues to actively support the Government of Malawi, including education, capacity building, and development cooperation—strengthening ties between our two nations.
