On the sidelines of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM) 2026, Kenya Utalii College Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mark R. Ogendi, and Mr. Hélder Jauana, Chairperson of Mozambique’s National Agency for Tourism Development and Investment (ANDITUR), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in Training and Consultancy in Hospitality and Tourism.

The MoU provides a framework for cooperation in hospitality training, including the implementation of 100 scholarships offered by Kenya Utalii College, as announced by H.E. President William Ruto during his State Visit to Mozambique in 2023.

The C.E.O was accompanied by Dr. Lilian Gikutha, Director of Strategy & Partnerships at Kenya Utalii College.

Today, at at the ongoing 61st edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair(FACIM),H.E Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, former President of the Republic of Mozambique, visited the Kenya Stand, where he was introduced to the Kenyan products and businesses being showcased.

The Mission participated in the opening ceremony of the 61st edition of the Maputo International Trade Fair (FACIM), presided over by H.E. President Daniel Francisco Chapo of the Republic of Mozambique.

FACIM, Mozambique’s largest trade & investment exhibition, is taking place from 31 August to 6 September 2026.

It brings together Governments,private sectors, & stakeholders from Mozambique and beyond to showcase trade, investment, & economic partnerships.

In attendance are delegates from various Kenyan State Departments who are in Mozambique for the signing of MoUs aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.
