Tuaran, Sabah – A formal invitation was extended to the Head of Parti Bersatu Sabah’s N.12 Sulaman Division to attend the official Oath-taking Ceremony and Appointment Letter Presentation for Tuaran District Council Members, marking the beginning of their term from 2025 to 2027.
The event, held at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, was officiated by the Chief Minister of Sabah, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji bin Haji Noor, who also serves as the Assemblyman for N.12 Sulaman.
In a strong show of political engagement at the grassroots level, most committee members from the PBS N.12 Sulaman Division were present to witness the occasion. Among them were Vice 2 Head of PBS N.12 Sulaman, Mr. Abdul Malik Japarudin, Head of the Women’s Wing of PBS N.12 Sulaman, Mrs. Rosmah Bondior, as well as Executive Council Member of the Central PBS Youth Wing and Head of the Youth Wing of PBS N.12 Sulaman, Mr. Ariffin Juin.
Tuan Juin Saman, Head of PBS N.12 Sulaman, expressed optimism after the ceremony, stating his hope that the division would assume a more prominent role in Tuaran’s civic and developmental affairs, in line with the Sabah Forward agenda. He also highlighted that the division currently enjoys strong fellowship among the youths, which will be further strengthened in the lead-up to the upcoming election, ensuring that the party remains an influential force in the region.
Absent with apologies was the Vice 1 PBS N.12 Sulaman Division Head, Constantine Anthony, who was fulfilling his duties as Children’s Court Advisor at the Tuaran Magistrates’ Court, reflecting the party's broader commitment to social justice and youth rehabilitation.
The well-attended event featured a series of formal proceedings, including the swearing-in of council members, presentation of appointment letters, and keynote addresses by senior state figures including Deputy Chief Minister II, Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Joachim Gunsalam, and other distinguished leaders. The morning concluded with a commemorative photograph session and a luncheon.
