Thanks to the rain yesterday, the haze condition was much better today, so we were happy to proceed with our Storytime at Foo Chow Park.
The park was unusually quiet this evening. Unlike our usual gatherings, there were only a few people walking and jogging around. But the families who came were our familiar story friendsโsome of whom were especially disappointed when we had to cancel our previous Storytime because of the haze. It was so nice to see them back again!
This evening, we shared one Chinese story and one English story together. After the stories, our little story friends seemed determined to make up for the disappointment of the previous cancellation! ๐ They couldn't wait to start playing.
Faith brought along some cooking toys, and soon the children were busy with their own little pretend-play kitchen in the park. Of course, no gathering is complete without their favourite hide-and-seek and tag games! Before long, they were running around the park, laughing and chasing one another.
Sometimes, Storytime is about the stories we read. Sometimes, it's simply about having a place where children can meet, play, and enjoy being together.
We hope the weather will be kind to us next month, so we can continue reading, playing, and spending our evenings together at the park.
And with the school holidays just around the corner, everyone was already excited and looking forward to a little break!
**Happy Holidays to all our story friends!** ๐
For those who are travelling, have a wonderful and safe trip. โ๏ธ
For those staying home, take the opportunity to slow down, get some good rest, and have plenty of fun at home. ๐
See you all after the holidays!
