Before ships move cargo across oceans.
Before ports expand their horizons.
Before technologies redefine how the world trades.

There is a moment where everything begins.

Not in systems. Not in policy papers. Not in boardrooms.

In conversation.

That moment returns at Malaysia Maritime Week 2026 (MMW26).

From 29 September to 2 October 2026, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre becomes the meeting point of the maritime industry, where ideas are tested, partnerships are formed, and direction is set.

This is not another industry event.

It is where the industry comes to calibrate itself.

Held under the theme “From Ambition to Action: Powering Maritime Excellence”, MMW26 brings together the people who move maritime forward — policymakers, regulators, shipowners, port operators, financiers, technology providers, and maritime professionals.

⚓ MMW26 Conference (29 September – 2 October 2026)
Three and a half days of focused dialogue across leadership, maritime financing, ports and logistics, decarbonisation, digital transformation, talent development, and the priorities shaping the next chapter of the industry.

⚓ MMW26 Exhibition (29 September – 1 October 2026)
Where solutions meet decision-makers. Showcase technologies, services, and capabilities directly to the maritime value chain.

⚓ MASA Annual Dinner 2026 (2 October 2026)
A landmark evening marking the 50th Anniversary of the Malaysia Shipowners’ Association, featuring Datuk M. Nasir, lucky draw prizes, and a night of industry connection and celebration.

The maritime future will not be predicted in isolation.

It will be shaped in Kuala Lumpur.

MASA 50th Anniversary
📖 50 Stories of MASA | Story 8: Beyond the waves and beyond the years — 50 years of unity within the maritime community.

The MASA Annual Golf Tournament 2026 at SAASGCC, Shah Alam unfolded as a vibrant celebration of sport, fellowship and legacy, marking another proud chapter in MASA’s golden anniversary journey. A total of 136 golfers from across the maritime and industry landscape came together, turning the fairways into a space of connection, friendly rivalry and shared celebration.

What made the day special was not just the game, but the people. Industry peers reconnecting, new relationships forming, and long-standing ties growing stronger with every swing. It was a reminder that MASA’s journey over the past five decades has always been anchored in unity, collaboration and a community that moves forward together.

Even with the unpredictable weather adding its own challenge to the day, the spirit on the course never dipped. If anything, it made the experience more memorable. Laughter in the rain, focus under pressure, and applause that carried across every flight.

A heartfelt thank you to all golfers, sponsors, partners and supporters for being part of this milestone celebration and for contributing to the continued success of MASA’s 50-year journey.

MASA General Manager, En. Mohd Helmi Zaharudin, recently shared insights at the MITBA Masterclass Series on Marine Insurance.

His session provided participants with a clear overview of the Malaysian shipping ecosystem, the growth of local tonnage, and how the industry is structured within a global maritime context.

From vessel operations to key risk exposures at sea and in port, the session helped bridge practical industry understanding with real-world underwriting and broking perspectives.

A meaningful platform to strengthen technical capability within the broking fraternity and deepen appreciation of how the maritime sector truly operates.
