[10.8.26] Always lovely to touch base with the 852 🇭🇰 at lunch with a delegation representing the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area (GBA) Entrepreneurs Alliance, and Sunwah Group Hong Kong. We had a very lively and stimulating discussion about trade opportunities, in particular the GBA and Southeast Asia, where Sunwah has established a strong presence in Ho Chi Minh City.

As always, Selangor is open for business, through Invest Selangor’s proactive approach 😊❤️💛

Eh… Perbahasan Rancangan Selangor Kedua (RS2) ek 😅 Kerajaan Negeri Selangor mempunyai pelbagai inisiatif pendidikan, tetapi kita tidak memanfaatkan bakat anak Selangor sepenuhnya dalam sektor penjawat awam.

Kerajaan Negeri harus "close the loop" dan merekrut penerima biasiswa dan inisiatif pendidikan negeri Selangor untuk menyertai sistem penjawat awam supaya pentadbiran negeri kita tiptop. Dari Selangor, demi Selangor! ♥️💛

Progress check on the SS 2/3 Safer School Streets project! 👷‍♂️🏫

What started as discussions in 2024 and engagements in 2025 is finally coming to life in 2026!

Today’s site visit was all about quality control. We are pushing for true connectivity and walkability—we want practical infrastructure that the community actually uses.

To ensure it’s safe and inclusive for everyone, we highlighted 4 key things:
♿️ 1:12 gradient ramps so no wheelchair user is left out.
🚶‍♀️ Wider kerbs for comfortable walking and wheelchair access.
🕳️ Drain gratings over deep drains to prevent accidents.
🛹 Flush pavements for a seamless, trip-free experience.

Phase 1 is currently tackling the school side, with Phase 2 (the LRT side) coming up next. Huge thanks to Commute Initiatives and the MBPJ Planning Dept for the joint effort!

[6.8.26] Dalam kesibukan menghadiri sidang Dewan Negeri Selangor, saya berkesempatan untuk ngeteh bersama Ketua Balai Bomba Petaling Jaya, TPgB II Syed Shahril Anuar bin Syed Sulaiman, dan pegawainya 🚒☕. Saya menyerahkan peruntukan sebanyak RM5,000 untuk pembelian kelengkapan, penyelenggaraan balai, dan sebagainya.

Kami juga membincangkan kebajikan pegawai bomba, khususnya aspek kesihatan mental. Mudah kita terlepas pandang bahawa “first responder” seperti bomba, polis, ambulans dan sebagainya didedahkan kepada “scene” yang boleh menimbulkan trauma terhadap first responder tersebut. Bomba jaga kita, kita juga kena jaga mereka 🫶😊

[5.8.2026] Thanks to my "partner in crime" 🦹🏻‍♀️🦹🏻‍♀️, YB Michelle Ng Mei Sze 黄美诗 (ADN Subang Jaya) for inviting me to share some insights to students from Brickfields Asia College, Taylor’s University, Abrick College, and UiTM visiting the Selangor State Assembly. I also shared about the developments and opportunities for engineering students in the Selangor semiconductor industry.

Since 2008, the Selangor State Assembly has opened up: sittings are streamed live on YouTube and visiting groups are encouraged so that the people understand state legislation better. I hope the students walked away with a better understanding and to be more curious into how government and politics affects their lives! 😊
