Thank you National Cancer Society Malaysia for collaborating with us on last weekend’s nutrition workshop.

Participants learn about basic nutrition and dietary practices to help maintain their health while undergoing chemo.

They also had the opportunity to sample different milk and nutritional supplement products available in the market, and gained a better understanding of how these products may contribute to their overall well-being.

Falls can greatly affect independence, confidence, and quality of life — but many falls can be prevented with the right knowledge and preparation.

Last weekend, our Fall Prevention Workshop was conducted by two highly experienced physiotherapists who guided participants through both the theory and practical aspects of fall prevention. Participants learned why falls happen, common risk factors to look out for, and simple ways to create a safer environment at home.

The session was highly interactive, with hands-on exercises focused on improving balance, strength, and mobility. Participants were also given easy exercises to continue practising at home to help build long-term confidence and stability.

To further reduce fall risks, footwear checks were carried out at the end of the session, helping participants better understand how proper footwear can play an important role in preventing falls.

Happy International Nurses Day!

This year’s gathering was made even more meaningful with nurses from IKN and the Palliative Care Unit at Hospital Selayang joining us.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect beyond our usual workplaces, get to know one another, and share experiences from the different communities and areas we each serve across the Klang Valley.

In palliative and hospice care, we often work quietly within our own teams and organisations. Moments like these remind us that while we may serve in different places, we are all walking alongside patients and families with the same heart of compassion and care.

Thank you to all the nurses who continue to care, comfort, and journey with patients every single day. 💙
