Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) is managing Sarawak TPAs & protecting its Wildlife under National Parks and Nature Reserve Ordinance 1998 and Wild Life Protection Ordinance, 1998 Protection, enhancement and regeneration of Sarawakโ€™s indigenous flora and fauna, and rehabilitation, both inside and outside protected areas
4. Activities related to biodiversity conservation
5. To create public aware

ness of conservation and sustainability issues through education, interpretation and training
6. Business development and project planning for conservation-based activities
7. Promotion and regulations of nature-based and community-based eco-tourism

Strengthening Ties with Tourism Industry Players

Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) successfully hosted a Stakeholder Engagement Session with tourism industry players on 12 June 2026 at Wisma Lestari, SFC Headquarters.

The session brought together 58 participants, comprising representatives from SFC, Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF), Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP), Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), MOTAC, Tourism Malaysia, SKTGA, ASIA, MATTA, and the Sarawak River Board.

The engagement provided a valuable platform for dialogue, collaboration, and information sharing among key stakeholders in Sarawakโ€™s tourism sector. SFC also took the opportunity to update participants on ongoing initiatives, improvements, and efforts being undertaken to address operational challenges and enhance visitor experiences across its protected areas.

SFC extends its appreciation to all participants for their valuable insights, continuous support, and commitment towards strengthening sustainable tourism in Sarawak.

Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) telah menerima kunjungan hormat daripada delegasi Wildlife Crime Bureau (WCB) yang diketuai oleh ACP Mohamed Sazif Bin Mohamed Subri, Timbalan Komander (Perisikan dan Siasatan Khas) WCB/PSK, bersama DSP Azrul Izwan Nin Abdul Latif.

Delegasi tersebut telah disambut oleh Tuan Abang Arabi Abang Aimran, Pengurus Besar, Sarawak Forestry Corporation, bersama Tuan Haji Madhan Kiflie, Timbalan Pengurus Besar (Konservasi).

Kunjungan hormat ini bertujuan memperkukuhkan hubungan strategik serta kerjasama antara SFC dan WCB PDRM dalam usaha membanteras jenayah hidupan liar, perdagangan haram spesies dilindungi, dan aktiviti yang mengancam khazanah biodiversiti negara.

Sesi perbincangan turut memfokuskan kepada perkongsian risikan, pengukuhan penguatkuasaan rentas agensi, pembangunan kapasiti pegawai penguat kuasa serta pelaksanaan operasi bersepadu bagi meningkatkan keberkesanan tindakan terhadap jenayah berkaitan hidupan liar dan sumber hutan.

SFC merakamkan penghargaan kepada WCB PDRM atas komitmen dan kerjasama berterusan dalam memelihara serta melindungi khazanah alam semula jadi negara.
