Managing patients organized at a borderline level presents unique challenges. Therapists often feel confused or alarmed by the intense emotional atmosphere that can emerge abruptly during sessions, leading to feelings of incompetence and overwhelm.

When these reactions enter the therapeutic space, clinicians may be unaware that a reenactment of unmastered relational trauma is unfolding.

This webinar explores how unconscious processes shape conscious behavior and how therapy may be impeded—or even harmfully enacted—when the therapist is drawn into projective identification.

Participants will gain a clearer understanding of the hidden dynamics driving emotional dysregulation and chaotic relationships, and develop a more grounded psychodynamic approach to working with transference—transforming perceived obstacles into opportunities for deeper insight and meaningful change.
