The Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce is proud to be represented by our Vice Chairman, Ms Esther Yap, who was invited by HR Tech Festival Asia to deliver a Power Talk at Suntec Singapore.
Esther is also the Executive Chair of HOA โ The NZ-Asia Alumni Network and Managing Director / CEO of Stellar SparX International.
The Power Talk, titled โFrom Boardroom to Borders: Building Cross-Border Talent Pipelines for Business Growthโ, explored how organisations can move beyond reactive hiring and begin building intentional, future-ready talent ecosystems that support business growth across borders.
A key highlight of the session was an interactive icebreaker led by Esther at the opening of her talk, which immediately lit up the room with energy, laughter and engagement. The item served as a practical illustration of the talkโs central message โ that opportunities are often closer than we think, but success depends on whether we are prepared, connected and ready to act.
Key themes shared during the session included:
โข Translating talent strategy into cross-border business advantage
โข Leveraging chambers, alumni networks and business ecosystems as strategic talent channels
โข Strengthening regional partnerships and connectivity
โข Turning relationships into actionable business and talent opportunities
As part of the New Zealand ASEAN Business Alliance (ABA) network, MNZCC continues to strengthen New ZealandโMalaysia business ties while creating broader regional connectivity across ASEAN.
Participation in regional platforms such as HR Tech Festival Asia helps increase MNZCCโs visibility, expand regional networks, and create valuable access for our members across Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand and the wider NZโASEAN region.
A sincere thank you to HR Tech Festival Asia for the invitation and opportunity to contribute to this important regional conversation.
