As the diplomatic mission of the EU, the Delegation promotes closer ties with Malaysia by providing an efficient and reliable communication channel between the Malaysian government, businesses, the civil society and their European counterparts. The Delegation works in close coordination with the embassies of the individual EU Member States present in Malaysia and promotes the EU common positions a
s well as Europe's cultural diversity through public events. Cooperation between the EU and Malaysia further exists in the areas of mutual interest, namely trade and economic relations, climate change, environment, green technology, higher education, science and technology, human rights and culture. Global issues are also discussed regularly.
