INDUSTRY SUPPORTS GTPC INITIATIVE, DIGITAL PLATFORM TO STRENGTHEN TVET GRADUATE CAREER PLACEMENT
The Government-Industry TVET Coordination Body (GITC) hosted the Pre-Launch Ceremony of the GITC TVET Placement Centre (GTPC), an AI-powered digital platform developed to strengthen career placement opportunities for TVET graduates in line with current industry demands.
The Pre-Launch Ceremony of the GITC TVET Placement Centre (GTPC) received official support from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) as part of ongoing efforts to enhance TVET graduate employability and strengthen collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and industry players.
GTPC functions as a platform to match graduates with job opportunities, industrial training, and Work-Based Learning (WBL) placements across 23 economic sectors nationwide. In addition to graduate placements, the platform also includes industrial attachment opportunities for TVET lecturers and instructors.
GITC aims to attract the participation of 10,000 companies within two years to further strengthen the national TVET ecosystem through a more progressive, inclusive, and industry-driven approach.
The pre-launch ceremony marks an important milestone towards the official launch of GTPC, which will take place on 6 June 2026 in Putrajaya in conjunction with National TVET Day.
