سفارة العراق في كوالالمبور تستذكر شهداء وزارة الخارجية في الذكرى السابعة عشرة للتفجير الإرهابي
أقامت سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور، يوم الأربعاء الموافق ۱٩آب/أغسطس ٢٠٢٦، وقفة استذكار وإجلال لشهداء وزارة الخارجية، بمناسبة الذكرى السابعة عشرة للتفجير الإرهابي الذي استهدف مبنى الوزارة، وأودى بحياة كوكبة من موظفيها أثناء أدائهم واجبهم الوطني.
وتضمنت الوقفة قراءة سورة الفاتحة ترحماً على أرواح الشهداء، واستذكاراً لتضحياتهم وما قدموه في سبيل خدمة الوطن وأداء واجبهم.
وفي كلمة له خلال المناسبة، أكد القائم بالأعمال المؤقت، المستشار الدكتور حذيفة زياد محمود، أن تضحيات شهداء وزارة الخارجية وجميع شهداء العراق ستظل مصدر فخر واعتزاز في وجدان أبناء الوطن، مشيراً إلى أن ذكرى الزملاء الذين استشهدوا أثناء أداء واجبهم ستبقى خالدة في القلوب، شاهدةً على إخلاصهم وتفانيهم في خدمة العراق.

Iraqi Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Commemorates the Martyrs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 17th Anniversary of the Terrorist Bombing
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur held, on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, a commemorative ceremony to honour and pay tribute to the martyrs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, marking the 17th anniversary of the terrorist bombing that targeted the Ministry’s building and claimed the lives of a number of its dedicated employees while carrying out their national duty.
The ceremony included the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in remembrance of the souls of the martyrs, as well as a tribute to their sacrifices and their dedicated service to the nation in the fulfilment of their duties.
In his remarks on the occasion, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counsellor Dr. Hudhaifa Zead Mahmoud, affirmed that the sacrifices of the martyrs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and of all the martyrs of Iraq, will remain a source of pride and honour in the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. He noted that the memory of the colleagues who lost their lives in the line of duty will remain eternal in the hearts, bearing lasting witness to their dedication and devotion to serving Iraq.

لقاء القائم بالأعمال المؤقت مع الأكاديمي العراقي أ.د جاسم محمد سلمان التميمي
أستقبلَ القائم بالأعمال المؤقت، المستشار د. حذيفة زياد محمود، يوم الخميس الموافق 13 آب 2026، الأكاديمي العراقي الأستاذ الدكتور جاسم محمد سلمان التميمي، عميد كلية العراق الجامعة في محافظة البصرة، وذلك في إطار زيارته الرسمية إلى ماليزيا لبحث آفاق التعاون العلمي والأكاديمي مع الجامعات الماليزية المرموقة.
جرى خلال اللقاء بحث سبل تطوير التعاون الثنائي بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية العراقية ونظيراتها الماليزية، مع التفكير في توسيع نطاق برامج الدراسات العليا، والبحث والتطوير العلمي، وتبادل الزيارات العلمية للأساتذة والطلبة، فضلاً عن تعزيز التنسيق في مجالات النشر والتقويم العلمي المشترك.
وحضر هذا اللقاء من جانب السفارة المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، فيما حضر عن جانب كلية العراق الجامعة مدير قسم الشؤون العلمية والعلاقات الثقافية د. عبد الوهاب عيسى حمزة .

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. met with Iraqi Academic Prof. Dr. Jasim Mohammed Salman Al-Tamimi
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counselor Dr. Hudayfa Zead Mahmoud, received, on Thursday, 13 August 2026, Iraqi academic Professor Dr. Jasim Mohammed Salman Al-Tamimi, Dean of Iraq University College in Basra Governorate, as part of his official visit to Malaysia to explore prospects for scientific and academic cooperation with prestigious Malaysian universities.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways for further develop cooperation bilateral between Iraqi academic institutions and their Malaysian counterparts including, expanding postgraduate study programs, advancing scientific research and development, facilitating academic exchanges and visits for faculty members and students, and strengthening coordination in the fields of academic publishing and joint scholarly evaluation.
The meeting was attended on behalf of the Embassy by Counselor Ahmed Ghanim AbdulJabbar, while Iraq University College was represented by Dr. Abdul Wahab Issa Hamza, Director of the Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations.

القائم بالأعمال المؤقت يلتقي مع نائب عميد السلك الدبلوماسي العربي في كوالالمبور
التقى القائم بالأعمال المؤقت في سفارة جمهورية العراق لدى ماليزيا، المستشار الدكتور حذيفة زياد محمود يوم الأربعاء الموافق 12 آب 2026، سفير دولة ليبيا ونائب عميد السلك الدبلوماسي العربي المعتمد في كوالالمبور، السيد محمد عطية، وذلك خلال زيارة رسمية إلى مقر السفارة الليبية.
وأشاد السفير الليبي بدور العراق في دعم العمل العربي المشترك ومواقفه المساندة للقضايا العربية، متمنياً للقائم بالأعمال المؤقت التوفيق والنجاح في مهامه.
من جانبه، أعرب القائم بالأعمال المؤقت عن شكره لحفاوة الاستقبال، مؤكداً حرص العراق على إيلاء القضايا العربية أولوية، وتعزيز التنسيق بين البعثات الدبلوماسية العربية في ماليزيا، وتبادل الخبرات بما يسهم في دعم العمل العربي المشترك.
كما استعرض الجانبان سبل تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق مع المؤسسات الماليزية، بما يسهم في تطوير العلاقات العربية–الماليزية.

The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Meets the Deputy Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Kuala Lumpur
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia, Counsellor Dr. Hudayfa Zead Mahmoud, met on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, with the Ambassador of the State of Libya and Deputy Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps accredited in Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Mohamed A. M. Attia, during an official visit to the Libyan Embassy.
The Libyan Ambassador praised Iraq’s role in supporting Arab collective action and its supportive positions on Arab issues, wishing the Acting Chargé d’Affaires a.i. success in his duties.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, affirming Iraq’s commitment to giving priority to Arab issues and to strengthening coordination among Arab diplomatic missions in Malaysia, as well as exchanging expertise in a manner that contributes to supporting Arab collective action.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination with Malaysian institutions in a manner that contributes to developing Arab–Malaysian relations.
The meeting was attended, on the Iraqi side, by Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim AbdulJabbar, and, on the Libyan side, by Counsellor Ibrahim Omar.

سفارة العراق في كوالالمبور تشارك في حفل تخرج الجامعة الإسلامية في سلانغور
شارك القائم بالأعمال المؤقت في سفارة جمهورية العراق لدى ماليزيا، المستشار الدكتور حذيفة زياد محمود يوم الأربعاء الموافق 12 آب 2026، في حفل تخرج طلبة الدراسات الأولية والعليا في الجامعة الإسلامية بولاية سلانغور.
وشهد الحفل حضور عدد من الشخصيات الرسمية والأكاديمية الماليزية، وتكريم خريجي برامج البكالوريوس والماجستير والدكتوراه في عدد من التخصصات، بحضور الرئيس الفخري للجامعة، صاحبة السمو الملكي السلطانة تنكو بايمارسوري حاجة نورئشكين.
وأكد القائم بالأعمال المؤقت حرص السفارة على تعزيز التواصل والتعاون الثقافي والأكاديمي مع الجامعات والمؤسسات التعليمية الماليزية، بما يسهم في تطوير العلاقات بين البلدين، فيما هنأ الطلبة الخريجين، متمنياً لهم النجاح والتوفيق في مسيرتهم المستقبلية.

Embassy of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Participates in Graduation Ceremony of Islamic University of Selangor
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia, Counselor Dr. Hudhaifa Zead Mahmoud, participated on Wednesday, 12 August 2026, in the graduation ceremony for undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Islamic University of Selangor.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Malaysian officials and academic figures and featured the honoring of graduates from Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programmes across various disciplines, in the presence of the University’s Honorary President, Duli yang Maha Mulia Tengku Permaisuri Hajah Norashikin.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening cultural and academic communication and cooperation with Malaysian universities and educational institutions, in a manner that contributes to further developing relations between the two countries. He also extended his congratulations to the graduating students, wishing them continued success and every success in their future endeavors.

The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. also met with the University’s President, Dato' Professor Dr. Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, who expressed his appreciation for the participation of the Embassy of Iraq in the University’s academic events.

أحياء الذكرى الثانية عشرة للإبادة الجماعية بحق المكون الإيزيدي
أحيت سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور، يوم الأربعاء الموافق الخامس من ٥ آب لعام 2026، الذكرى الثانية عشرة للإبادة الجماعية التي تعرض لها المكون الإيزيدي على يد عصابات داعش الإرهابية، يأتي ذلك تأكيداً على أهمية استذكار المأساة الإنسانية الناتجة عن هذه الجريمة الإنسانية ودعماً لمسار العدالة وإنصافا للضحايا والمتضررين من هذه الجريمة النكراء بحق الإنسانية.
واستُهلت الفعالية بقراءة سورة الفاتحة مع الوقوف دقيقة صمت ترحماً على أرواح شهداء وضحايا الإبادة الجماعية وشهداء العراق كافة.
وأكد القائم بالأعمال المؤقت، المستشار الدكتور/ حذيفة زياد محمود، خلال كلمته الرسمية التي ألقاها خلال الفعالية، على اعتبار الجرائم التي ارتكبها تنظيم داعش الإرهابي بحق المكون الإيزيدي من أبشع الجرائم التي شهدتها الإنسانية، وتعارضها مع مختلف الشرائع والقيم التي تستند عليها مختلف الأديان، بضمنها الدين الاسلامي الحنيف، ومسلطا الضوء على الجهود التي بذلتها الحكومة العراقية في تقديم الدعم والرعاية للناجين والناجيات، وتعزيز جهود تحقيق العدالة ودعم حقوق الضحايا والمتضررين.

Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Commemorates the Twelfth Anniversary of the Genocide Against the Yazidi Component.
The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur commemorated, on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, the twelfth anniversary of the genocide perpetrated against the Yazidi component by the terrorist Da'esh (ISIL) gangs. The commemoration reaffirmed the importance of preserving the memory of this humanitarian tragedy, supporting the pursuit of justice, and honoring the victims and those affected by this heinous crime against humanity.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs and victims of the genocide, as well as all Iraqi martyrs.
In his official remarks during the event, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counsellor Dr. Hudhaifa Zead Mahmoud, emphasized that the crimes committed by the terrorist Da’esh (ISIL) organization against the Yazidi component rank among the most atrocious crimes witnessed by humanity, standing in direct contradiction to the principles and values upheld by all religions, including the true teachings of Islam.
He also highlighted the efforts undertaken by the Government of Iraq to provide support and care for survivors, strengthen the pursuit of justice, and advance the rights of victims and those affected by these crimes

استقبل القائم بالأعمال المؤقت، المستشار الدكتور حذيفة زياد محمود، في مبنى السفارة، يوم الأربعاء الموافق 5 آب 2026، وفداً ماليزياً، حيث جرى بحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي بين جمهورية العراق وماليزيا، وتشجيع انفتاح الشركات العراقية على المعارض والفعاليات الاقتصادية الدولية.

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Discusses Enhancing Economic Cooperation with Malaysian Delegation
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i., Counsellor Dr. Hudhaifa Zead Mahmoud, received a Malaysian delegation at the Embassy on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, to discuss ways of enhancing economic cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and Malaysia, as well as encouraging Iraqi companies to engage with international exhibitions and economic events.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to broadening the prospects for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and to strengthening engagement with relevant institutions and stakeholders in a manner that serves their shared interests.
The meeting also addressed preparations for an international specialised exhibition for halal products, scheduled to be held in Langkawi next November, and the opportunities available for Iraqi companies to participate in the event, thereby contributing to strengthening their presence in regional and international markets.
Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abdul-Jabbar also attended the meeting on behalf of the Embassy.

بحث القائم بالأعمال المؤقت، المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، بتأريخ 29-7-2026، مع نائبة رئيس التخطيط العمراني في هيئة بيربادانان بوتراجايا، الحاجة داتين سلمى بنت حاج سلمان، سبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي في مجالات التخطيط الحضري والتنمية المستدامة.
وجرى اللقاء في مقر الهيئة الواقع في مجمع بيربادانان بوتراجايا، حيث ناقش الجانبان فرص تبادل الخبرات بين العراق وماليزيا، لا سيما في تطوير المدن الذكية، وتحديث البنى التحتية، واعتماد أفضل الممارسات في إدارة المدن الحديثة.
وأكد الطرفان أهمية توسيع آفاق الشراكة المؤسسية، بما يسهم في دعم جهود التنمية الحضرية في العراق، والاستفادة من التجربة الماليزية الرائدة في هذا المجال.

Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Visits Putrajaya Corporation to Explore Prospects for Cooperation.
On 29 July 2026, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Malaysia, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abdul Jabbar, met with the Deputy Director of Urban Planning at the Putrajaya Corporation, Datin TPr HJH Salmah binti HJ Salman, to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of urban planning and sustainable development.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Putrajaya Corporation, where both sides explored opportunities for exchanging expertise between Iraq and Malaysia, particularly in the areas of smart city development, infrastructure modernization, and the adoption of best practices in modern urban management.
Both parties underscored the importance of expanding institutional cooperation in a manner that supports Iraq's urban development efforts and enables it to benefit from Malaysia's distinguished experience and achievements in this field.
The Putrajaya Corporation is one of Malaysia's leading government institutions specializing in urban planning and sustainable development. It is responsible for the administration of the Federal Administrative Capital of Putrajaya, which is internationally recognized as a model of integrated urban planning and modern city management.

سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور تقدم التعازي بوفاة نائب رئيس زامبيا الأسبق.
دون القائم بالأعمال المؤقت المستشار احمد غانم عبد الجبار رسالة تعزية في المبنى الرئيس لسفارة جمهورية زامبيا في كوالالمبور، بتاريخ ٢٢-٧-٢٠٢٦، أعرب خلالها عن خالص مواساة حكومة وشعب جمهورية العراق إلى حكومة وشعب جمهورية زامبيا، بوفاة معالي الدكتور غاي سكوت، نائب رئيس جمهورية زامبيا الأسبق.
وأكدت رسالة التعزية مشاعر الحزن والتضامن مع الشعب الزامبي في هذا المصاب، متقدمة بأحر التعازي وأصدق المواساة، مع الدعاء بأن يتغمد الله الفقيد بواسع رحمته، وأن يمنح أسرته وذويه ومحبيه والشعب الزامبي الصديق الصبر والسلوان.

Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Extends Condolences on the Passing of the Former Vice President of Zambia.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abduljabbar, signed the book of condolences at the Chancery of the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Kuala Lumpur on 22 July 2026, expressing the sincere condolences of the Government and the people of the Republic of Iraq to the Government and the people of the Republic of Zambia on the passing of H.E. Dr. Guy Scott, former Vice President of the Republic of Zambia.
In his message, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. conveyed the Government and the people of Iraq’s profound sympathy and solidarity with the people of Zambia during this time of grief, extending heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies, while praying that Almighty God may bestow His abundant mercy upon the deceased and grant his family, loved ones, and the friendly people of Zambia patience and solace.
On the sidelines of the condolence signing ceremony, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to Malaysia, H.E. وفد قنصلي من سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور يزور مملكة تايلند لتعزيز التواصل مع الجالية العراقية وتقديم الخدمات القنصلية.
في إطار النهج الذي تتبعه وزارة الخارجية العراقية في رعاية شؤون المواطنين العراقيين المقيمين في الخارج وتعزيز التواصل المباشر معهم، وصل وفد قنصلي من سفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور إلى العاصمة التايلندية بانكوك، بتاريخ 20/7/2026، بهدف تقديم الخدمات القنصلية واستقبال أبناء الجالية العراقية وإنجاز معاملاتهم.
وجاءت زيارة الوفد القنصلي تنفيذاً لتوجيهات مركز وزارة الخارجية العراقية، وبإشراف القائم بالأعمال المؤقت لسفارة جمهورية العراق في كوالالمبور المستشار أحمد غانم عبد الجبار، ضمن رؤية السفارة الهادفة إلى توسيع نطاق خدماتها القنصلية والوصول إلى المواطنين العراقيين في الدول الواقعة ضمن نطاق عملها الدبلوماسي.

A Consular Delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur Visits the Kingdom of Thailand to Strengthen Engagement with the Iraqi Community and Provide Consular Services.
As part of the approach adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq to attend to the affairs of Iraqi citizens residing abroad and enhance direct engagement with them, a consular delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur arrived in Bangkok, the Kingdom of Thailand, on 20 July 2026, to provide consular services, receive members of the Iraqi community, and process their consular applications.
The visit was carried out pursuant to the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters and under the supervision of the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Kuala Lumpur, Counsellor Ahmed Ghanim Abduljabbar, as part of the Embassy's vision to expand the reach of its consular services and ensure greater accessibility for Iraqi citizens residing in countries within its diplomatic jurisdiction.
During the visit, the consular delegation received members of the Iraqi community in the Kingdom of Thailand, processed a number of consular transactions, and provided the necessary guidance and assistance to applicants, thereby facilitating their procedures and responding to their consular needs efficiently.
The Embassy affirmed that this visit forms part of a series of initiatives undertaken to serve the Iraqi community abroad and further strengthen its consular presence, reflecting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality consular services to Iraqi citizens overseas and giving due attention to their affairs.
