Job Vacancy for Fire technician at Maju Dinamik Ventures Sdn Bhd
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire protection systems, including fire
alarms, fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and fire suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke
detectors, hydrants, fire extinguishers, etc.).
• Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of fire safety equipment in compliance with
Malaysian fire safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and other fire
protection equipment.
• Ensure compliance with local fire codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and documentation for newly installed fire
protection systems.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding fire safety equipment and
maintenance.
• To attend and assist client during BOMBA inspection for yearly fire certification
• Keep accurate service records, reports, and documentation for all fire safety-related work.
• Work closely with the fire safety team, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure the
effectiveness of fire protection systems.
• Conduct fire drills and provide training on fire safety procedures when required.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Certificate in Fire Protection, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in fire protection system installation and
maintenance.
• Familiarity with Malaysian fire safety regulations (e.g., BOMBA requirements)
and industry standards.
• Knowledge of fire detection, suppression, and alarm systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret fire system schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driving license (preferred) for site visits and maintenance work.
• BOMBA certification or equivalent fire safety training is an added advantage.
