On 5th June 2026, the Director General of the Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), YBhg. Datoโ€™ Monaliza Suhaimi, delivered an insightful presentation at the National Resilience College, addressing the critical and expansive topic of "Maritime Security in the Asia-Pacific: Threats, Power Projections, and Managing Challenges."

In her executive talk, YBhg. Datoโ€™ acknowledged the vast and complex nature of the Asia-Pacific maritime landscape, noting that while the subject could easily dominate a week-long discourse, the session aimed to zero in on the most pressing issues. Rather than attempting an exhaustive overview, her session focused on highlighting what matters most to regional security and why it matters today.

The session set a collaborative tone for the audience of distinguished guests, respected faculty members, and senior officers, aiming to deepen the collective understanding of current challenges and their long-term implications for stability in the region.

Following the successful session, MIMA extended its highest appreciation and gratitude to the National Resilience College for the prestigious invitation and the opportunity to share strategic insights with its esteemed faculty and officers. MIMA looks forward to continuing such meaningful intellectual engagements to further strengthen regional maritime security frameworks.
