On 18 April, HOPE Worldwide Malaysia partnered with watsonsmy and lifebuoymalaysia to bring meaningful change to the community in Chenderiang.

The collaboration saw the distribution of essential care packages to residents in need — a small but significant step toward dignity and well-being. The day also marked a milestone with the grand opening of two newly built toilets, providing the community with improved access to basic sanitation.

Adding depth to the visit, dr.afl led an engaging short seminar on the fundamentals of proper hand hygiene — equipping residents with practical knowledge to protect their health and that of those around them.

On April 5th, the HOPE Worldwide Malaysia team from Kuala Lumpur joined forces with our Penang for a meaningful outreach trip to Gerik, where we served the Orang Asli community through a full day of care and connection.

Our team conducted medical check-ups, distributed essential supplies — including cooking necessities and cleaning materials — and organised activities for the children, bringing smiles and energy to the day.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteers and doctors who gave their time and hearts to this campaign. Thank you! 🙏

As we mark 25 remarkable years of service, HOPE Worldwide Malaysia takes this moment to express our deepest gratitude to the dedicated physicians whose compassion and commitment have been the heartbeat of our Free Clinic.

We are greatly grateful to Dr. Peter Gan Kim Soon, who has given 13 years and counting of faithful volunteerism, showing up every Saturday without fail to serve our patients. His unwavering dedication is a testament to the values of benevolence and service instilled in him from a young age by his mother.

Dr. Peter brings a worldwide depth of expertise to our clinic, holding a medical degree from Manipal University, India, Master’s and Doctorate in Public Health from the University of Malaya, and advanced credentials in Medical Ethics, Acute Medicine, and One Health from leading institutions in the United Kingdom and Australia.

We are equally honoured to celebrate Dr. Ravi, who has walked alongside us since 2023, bringing with him over three decades of rich medical experience. A proud graduate of the University of Malaya, Dr. Ravi goes beyond treating illness, he provides each patient with personalised insights and guidance on reclaiming their health and well-being.

This year, we also joyfully commemorate the 25nd year since the grand opening of our Free HOPE Clinic in Sentul. For over two decades, we have committed to building a healthier, more empowered community grounded in the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity, opportunity, and hope. To all who have supported, served, and walked through our doors: this anniversary belongs to you.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Every great change begins with listening. 💙

Last Sunday, Our volunteers spent the day surveying families in Kwasa Damansara to understand what programs would aid them the most. From English literacy and STEAM robotics for the kids, to mental health support for the whole family.

Every respondent also went home with a Lifebuoy soap — because clean hands save lives. Thank you Lifebuoy for partnering with us! 🙏🧼
