This Bloomsday we were welcomed warmly by our friends at Universiti Putra Malaysia for a special lecture delivered by Professor Paige Reynolds on Modernism in Contemporary Irish Writing. ✍️ 🇮🇪

Prof Reynolds providing fascinating insights into how authors like Sally Rooney and Naoise Dolan take inspiration from the style of writers from our past, including James Joyce. We greatly valued the thoughtful discussion with students and faculty on their own experiences with Irish literature 📚

Guests received a very warm Cead Míle Failte and enjoyed premium oysters from Tragheanna Bay, County Donegal, incredible Irish dairy products (delicious butters and cheeses from grass fed Irish cows) from which paired perfectly with Irish whiskey and Guinness! Whilst engaging with our team and learning about industry, education and trade in diverse modern Ireland. Thank you to all who came to say dia duit!

Upskilling Ireland’s workforce has been an important part of our country’s economic success. We were glad to welcome InnoGlobal to Malaysia last week, an Irish institute who offer opportunities to build workforce capacity, particularly in the advanced manufacturing sector.
