The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Malaya is pleased to celebrate the publication of a high-impact research article authored by our faculty member, Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, who served as the First Author of the paper entitled:
“Architected 3D-Printed Microneedle Composites for Precision-Controlled and Personalized Osteoporosis Drug Delivery”
Published in Advanced Composites and Hybrid Materials (Springer Nature), this prestigious journal is ranked in the Q1 category and possesses an impressive Impact Factor of approximately 21.8, placing it among the leading journals in materials science, biomedical engineering, and advanced healthcare technologies.
The paper provides a comprehensive and forward-looking perspective on the use of 3D-printed microneedle systems for the personalized treatment of osteoporosis, integrating advances in additive manufacturing, biomaterials, nanomedicine, and targeted drug delivery. The article highlights how next-generation microneedle platforms may revolutionize the management of chronic bone diseases through minimally invasive, patient-centric, and precision-controlled therapeutic approaches.
