Over this weekend (30, 31 May & 1 Jun 2026), the SJAM Selangor State Training Center is buzzing with energy as we officially conduct our Train The Trainers (TTT) Course for our future First Aid Trainers!

​A passionate group of 14 dedicated participants from various Areas across Negeri Selangor have stepped up to transition from lifesavers to life-educators. Over these two intense days, they are mastering the art of instruction to ensure our community benefits from the highest standards of first aid training.

True to our commitment to serving the community, St. John Ambulans Malaysia (SJAM) - Negeri Selangor recently successfully conducted our 51st Ophthalmic Care Unit (OCU) deployment! 🚌💨

​Our team headed over to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim & Asnaf Qaseh Ibu, Ampang to provide essential eye screening services for the residents. Visual health is crucial for learning and daily life, and we are incredibly proud to play a part in securing a brighter future for these bright young minds.

​Here is a quick look at the impact made:
📊 25 residents underwent comprehensive eye screenings.
👓 12 residents were identified with vision care needs and will be receiving free prescription glasses!

We are thrilled to share a momentous milestone in our ongoing mission to serve the community! St. John Ambulans Malaysia (SJAM) - Negeri Selangor has successfully completed the 50th deployment of our Ophthalmic Care Unit (OCU).

​For this landmark mission, our team headed to Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Bimbingan At-Taqwa in Puchong to bring vital eye care services to the wonderful children under their care. Ensuring healthy vision early in life opens up a world of brighter possibilities for these bright young minds!

​Here is a glimpse of the impact made during this deployment:
- ​37 children received comprehensive eye screenings.
- ​17 of them were identified with vision care needs and will soon receive free prescription glasses to help them see the world—and their schoolwork—much clearer!

​💖 ​An achievement like this is only possible through the dedication of our incredible members. A massive shoutout and thank you to our volunteers from SJAM Kawasan Selangor Tengah Selatan (KSTS)! Our brilliant boys and girls have absolutely swept the competition at the 65th National First Aid and Home Nursing Competition, bringing the ultimate glory back to Negeri Selangor. Through sheer dedication, countless hours of training, and unmatched composure under pressure, Team Selangor didn't just compete, they set the gold standard.

​We are incredibly thrilled to announce that our contingent clinched the titles for four distinct categories, an outstanding feat that officially crowned Selangor as the Overall National Champion for 2026. To our incredible members, and dedicated officers: your sweat, tears, and unwavering commitment to the mission of St. John Ambulans Malaysia have officially paid off. You have proven that excellence is in our DNA.

​The journey doesn't stop here. By conquering the nationals, our champions have earned their well-deserved spot to represent the nation on the global stage. It has been an impactful and busy day for our Ophthalmic Care Unit (OCU) team! Following a successful morning deployment in Shah Alam, our dedicated team headed straight to Than Hsiang Wan Ching Yuen, Petaling Jaya to continue our community outreach.

​We are incredibly proud to share the results of today's efforts:
​👥 24 residents were successfully screened.
​👓 19 residents will be receiving free prescription glasses to help them see the world more clearly!

​✨ Our deepest gratitude goes out to Tuan Kah Heun Sim, our Deputy State Commander cm Optician, who generously volunteered his time and professional expertise to conduct the eye screenings and prescriptions.

​It is our absolute privilege and joy to bring clearer vision and brighter smiles to our beloved elderly community. Thank you to everyone who made this deployment a success!

St. John Ambulans Malaysia (SJAM) - Negeri Selangor recently marked another milestone with the 48th deployment of our Ophthalmic Care Unit (OCU)! This meaningful mission took us to Rumah Kebajikan Warga Emas Charis, Shah Alam, to provide essential eye care services to the residents.

​Led by Tuan Fan Kok Hong, Area Commander of St. John Ambulans Malaysia - Kawasan Selangor Tengah Utara - SJAM KSTU, the team worked diligently to ensure our elders received the best care possible.

​🌟 The Impact:
- ​13 residents received comprehensive eye screenings.
- ​8 residents will soon receive brand-new, free prescription glasses to help improve their daily quality of life!

​🤝 ​We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Dato' Gary Ngeow for his immense generosity and dedication. Dato' Gary not only lent his professional expertise to personally conduct the vision screenings and prescribe the glasses, but he also went a step further by contributing a personal cash donation to the home. Your kindness is a true reflection of the St. John spirit!
