We came across this strange and fascinating sight deep in the Belum Rainforest. At first glance, it almost looks like some kind of fruit or even a giant seed pod lying on the forest floor… but it’s not!
This is actually a flower, one of the largest and rarest in the world, belonging to the genus Rafflesia. 🌸
These mysterious flowers are sometimes called the “corpse flower” and are a rare treasure to witness in the wild.

🍄 This unique fungus wears a delicate lace-like skirt (called an indusium), making it one of the most beautiful mushrooms in the world. The green tip releases a strong odor to attract insects, which carry its spores and help it reproduce.

🌏 Native to tropical forests in Asia, Africa, and South America, this mushroom is not only fascinating to look at, but in some cultures, it is even considered a delicacy.
