Running Project: Fund / Donations needed for the renovation & upgrading of the Gurudwara.
We would like to forward our humble appeal for donation from the sangat (community) to rebuilt & repair our little temple. Below is some elaboration.
Action Plans:
1. Kitchen renovation (after 60 years)
• Current langgar (kitchen) was built in the 1950s & urgently needs to be rebuilt due to factors related to time and age & is beyond repair as signs of deterioration have appeared in the whole kitchen area, washing area, cooking area, food storage, serving & langgar area. There is a huge risk of the kitchen area collapsing due to rotten wood & termites after more than 60 years.
2. Main Gurudwara roof repair
• The main gurudwara along with the school building, toilets & granthis’s home was built in the 1969 & there has been no repair done since then. Currently the roof & undercover of these buildings have shown signs of leakage & urgently needs to be replaced. The gurudwara also is in need of a proper “Sach-Khand Room”.
3. Accommodation for sangat
• There are plans to build two units of accommodation within the compound of the gurudwara for ease of any non-resident guest to stay while having their “jord-mella” and “akhand-path”.
That’s the summary of some engineering & architectural plans but the hurdle is the cost. The total estimated cost for the action plans mentioned above is RM400,000.
We strongly believe that with the guidance of the true guru, this project will be a success.
