BENGKEL PELAN PEMBANGUNAN PELABUHAN PULAU PINANG
Suruhanjaya Pelabuhan Pulau Pinang (SPPP) telah menghadiri Bengkel Pelan Pembangunan Pelabuhan Pulau Pinang anjuran Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. yang menjadi platform bagi memperincikan agenda pembangunan pelabuhan, pemantapan kapasiti operasi serta perancangan infrastruktur maritim secara bersepadu dan berorientasikan masa hadapan. Bengkel tersebut telah disertai oleh YBhg. Dato’ V. Vijayaindiaran, Pengurus Besar SPPP bersama Ketua-Ketua Bahagian dan Unit serta pegawai-pegawai kanan SPPP, manakala pihak PPSB turut diwakili oleh barisan pengurusan.
Bertempat di Holiday Inn & Suites Penang Prai, Bukit Mertajam, SPPP telah mengemukakan beberapa syor penambahbaikan yang menekankan keperluan memperkukuh tadbir urus pelaksanaan pembangunan, mempertingkat kecekapan operasi serta memperkemas penyelarasan projek pelabuhan secara lebih holistik dan berimpak tinggi. Pendekatan ini sejajar dengan komitmen berterusan SPPP untuk memastikan Pelabuhan Pulau Pinang terus diposisikan sebagai hab logistik dan perdagangan maritim yang progresif, berdaya tahan serta mampu memperkukuh landskap ekonomi dan rantaian bekalan strategik negara secara mampan.

PENANG PORT DEVELOPMENT PLAN WORKSHOP
The Penang Port Commission (PPC) attended the Penang Port Development Plan Workshop organised by Penang Port Sdn. Bhd., which served as a platform to deliberate on the advancement of port development priorities, operational capacity optimisation and integrated long-term maritime infrastructure planning. The workshop was attended by YBhg. Dato’ V. Vijayaindiaran, General Manager of PPC, together with Heads of Divisions and Units as well as senior PPC officers, while PPSB was represented by its senior management.
Held at the Holiday Inn & Suites Penang Prai, Bukit Mertajam, the PPC advanced several strategic enhancement recommendations underscoring the imperative to strengthen governance frameworks for development implementation, elevate operational efficiencies, and refine the coordination of port-related projects through a more holistic, integrated, and high-impact approach. This strategic orientation is fully aligned with PPC’s steadfast commitment to ensuring that Penang Port remains competitively positioned as a progressive and resilient maritime trade and logistics hub, while sustainably reinforcing the nation’s economic architecture and strategic supply chain ecosystem.
