WHO Bottle Bioassay Training | 11β12 June 2026
Strengthening Vector Surveillance Through Capacity Building
Over two productive days (11β12 June 2026), participants successfully completed the WHO Bottle Bioassay Training, aimed at enhancing technical competency in insecticide resistance monitoring and vector surveillance activities.
The training was conducted by Dr. Lau Sai Ming, an experienced researcher and trainer in the field of vector control, medical entomology, and insecticide resistance management. Throughout the programme, participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical experience on the principles, methodology, data interpretation, and quality assurance aspects of the WHO Bottle Bioassay.
The hands-on sessions provided valuable exposure to standardized testing procedures used to assess insecticide susceptibility in vector populations, supporting evidence-based decision making for vector control programmes.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Lau Sai Ming for sharing her expertise and to all participants for their active engagement and commitment throughout the training.
Together, we continue to strengthen scientific capacity and advance excellence in public health and vector management.
