For many families in the rural Maya communities we serve, even a small medical expense can become a tragedy.
One year ago, a 2-year-old child lost his life because his mother did not have 70 pesos to travel to the nearest medical clinic.
Because of situations like this, we created a network of 22 community leaders in different villages. They have clear instructions: whenever a child is sick and the family cannot afford transportation, medical care, or medicine, they contact us directly. We immediately help get the child to a pediatrician or clinic.
Over the years, we have helped children with epilepsy by paying for hospital stays and purchasing their medications. We have supported families facing childhood cancer, helping with transportation, medical expenses, and fundraising campaigns. We have also organized vaccination campaigns and health initiatives in remote communities where access to healthcare is limited.
Our volunteers transport children to clinics and hospitals, help families obtain medications, and make sure children can safely return home after receiving treatment.
Every child deserves a chance to grow up healthy, regardless of their family's income.
Right now, our greatest need is children's clothing.
We urgently need donations of new or gently used clothing for babies, children, and teenagers. Many families in the communities we serve struggle to provide adequate clothing for their children.
Your support can make a real difference.
Thank you for helping us protect and care for the children of the Maya communities.
