Today, the National Statistical Office (NSO), in partnership with the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), officially launched the training of field supervisors and enumerators for the Fourth National ICT Survey.

The survey will cover 12,000 households across all districts, collecting data on ICT access, ownership, and use, including mobile phones, TV, radio, computers, internet, postal and courier services, digital financial services, eโ€‘commerce, and cybersecurity. The findings will provide vital insights into Malawiโ€™s digital transformation and guide national policy and development planning.

The training was opened by Commissioner of Statistics, Mr. Shelton Kanyanda, at Mandevu Farm Conference Centre in Machinga District. Data collection will run from August to October 2026.
