It's always necessary to plan your adventure up Mount Mulanje. Emmanuel can help guide your adventure with Mulanje whether you are an experienced trekker or first time walker, at affordable prices. Emmanuel was born and raised in the Mulanje area and has a vast knowledge for the mountain. He's worked as a tour guide for 7 years. He can even give you a Chichewa lesson the way! Below are the sample

of routes which are available, however it's possible to change the routes and have further discussion according to personal preference.

1) Mulanje 2 day 1night, Chambe plateau, the closest plateau on Mount Mulanje,
Start from Likhubula forest offices hike through skyline path, with nice views.
$35 per person minimum 2 persons

2) Mulanje 3 day 2 nights, explore Mulanje and hike its highest peak (Sapitwa) Hike to chambe plateau and through ever green Chapaluka path proceed to chesepo hut. Hike the peak, head to Lichenya plateau and back.
$50 per person minimum 2 persons

3) 4 day 3 nights – fortlister gap – thuchila plateau- Sapitwa peak. $65 per person minimum 2 persons

4) 3 days 2 night- lujeri –sombani

Day hike $15 per person minimum 2 persons
5 day 4 nights $85 per person minimum 2 persons

Emmanuel guide from Mount Mulanje adventures is heading a grass roots community project supporting 2000 primary school students in Mulanje Malawi!

Please consider making a small donation and supporting him if you can! His plan is to supply all 2000 students with a reuseable facemask and bar of soap so that they can continue to go to school without further disruptions in their learning.

Facemasks are now compulsory in Malawi. This is increasing the financial burden on poor families to the point that students are now not going to school because they can't afford a facemask.

We've created a crowdfunding page to raise the money and are giving regular updates on how we are running the project! Take a look at the link:

We very sorry for not being able to give you updates on this year's mount Mulanje porters race. Mount mulanje porters race was originally started by a British guy Mike Brady way back in 1996. And it was meant for Mount Mulanje guides and porters only but now it is open to international runners.it is a 22km up and across the mountain.
This year's the winner did it in 2 hrs 5 minutes.see video.as Charles musowa closes finishing line
